They stuck with them for a half and made a come back at the end of the third, but Shannon Brown hit a 3 at the end of the quarter that completely switched the momentum toward the Lakers and New York couldn't recover from there. Once the Knicks got down they began to shoot threes and not try to grind it out and the game became a blowout.

The reason to take New York in this game was because of the Lakers three point defense and their recent struggles, but they played excellent defense in this game and dominated New York inside and on the boards.

Without Wallace, Charlotte will also struggle to stick with Rudy Gay, who put up 23 points in their last game. Charlotte relies heavily on Stephen Jackson for their scoring, who has been averaging 25 PPG since the coaching switch, but will have a tough time against OJ Mayo, who is one of the league's best perimeter defenders. The simple facts are that this new style the Bobcats have been playing may be more effective for poor defensive teams or teams that can't run, but Memphis is actually a better ranked defensive team than Charlotte this season. The Grizzlies are more athletic and more talented and are better at playing the fast paced style than Charlotte is. Barring some sort of injury during the game or the refs trying to take over with fouling, I don't see Charlotte staying in this game.

Yeah my analysis in my thread had similar points, and I am agreeing with you 100% i just find the line to be slightly scary. Although the Bobcats wins have been over less than impressive teams. I don't see Charlotte dealing with Gay/Randolph/Gasol with or without Wallace - who is actually a day to day and could be an inclusion. Without Mohammed, Memphis should get some nice points in the paint like they did in their home win against Charlotte. Good point about OJ Mayo - hopefully he can get fully over his sickness and play to his standard.

I'm on the other side i haven't seen an offense this year that can score points as fast as Oregon plus the auburn and Oregon defenses haven't impressed me either. I just don't think auburn can match the tempo that Oregon will bring ducks roll.

I like Auburn. Oregon was high scoring last year then only put up 17 in the Rose Bowl. They had difficulty dealing with Pryor who is like a poor man's Cam Newton. I'm no college football expert, but I like Auburn. I kind of see him like a Vince Young at Texas situation where he is just too good in college to lose.

Why is the memphis line so low at -2 when they won charlotte by 33 points earlier in the season and when charlotte is without wallace?

Indian Cowboy is a capper that works for Doc sports, I have been tracking all of his plays for about half of a year now and he seems to be the steadiest of all the cappers in the paid section.

but his win% in the nba is not as good as yours. the line in this game feels like a trap, it reminds me of the okc vs memphis game a week ago

yeah possibly, but OKC is a good team that is actually capable and if I remember they only covered by like .5. I don't know if Charlotte is good enough. For instance, Hollinger ratings have Charlotte #27 in the league.

I can't even bet on the BCS game tonight until Bodog unscrews itself. It still has the BCS title game at 3 points, while most sites have moved to +/- 1. I'm looking forward to this Memphis game, I expect its not going to be real close and I'm due for a nice easy win.

Houston is +2.5 when Martin is on court and -2.6 when he's off court. That's losing a net of 5.1. They are -4.2 when Brooks is on the court and +1.8 when he is off the court. That's a net of -6. If you trust that then the Rockets are losing a value of 11 points tonight.
