Also there are no games in Greece this weekend, but there is action again in Spain this weekend.

Maccabi sucks away, was beaten by DD spread earlier this season at Caja, have no doubt Caja win that one ,not sure about the spread since have not seen one posted yet @ Pinny but Caja is the play,Maccabi recently not in a good form as has been earlier this season, may have reached their peak too early in the season and they not doing well away.won only vs poor teams and even there at times had to struggle.

It's too early for me to decide. If I make a play on any of the games, it will be on the day of the games.

I'm on some Euroleague plays for today. I haven't been posting lately because I've been really busy with work and add internet problems to that it has been difficult.

Anyway things are getting tough in Euroleague competition now. After last Tuesday when the home teams took care of business came Thursday when all four visitors evened up the series.

Today I will be on the home teams. The lines are tight especially in 3 of the games.

                    Here we go:

                    Panathinaikos-Barcelona
                    Pick: Panathinaikos ML @ 1.87
                    Pick 2: Under 144.5 @ 1.90

Panathinaikos knows what they have to do. They will have to play really tough defense tonight and shut down Navarro. They will also have to keep Barca away from 3 pointers. Dimitris Diamantides has been spectacular in both games so far. A class act and a great player. If he steps up again tonight, then it will help tremendously. They will also have a home crowd as their sixth player tonight.

                    Sienna-Olympiakos
                    Pick: Sienna ML @ 1.85
Teodosic will be out again for Olympiakos I hear which, in my opinion will hurt. Dusan Ivkovic is a great coach no doubt and this will be a tough game, but I think Sienna will take advantage of their home court and crowd.

                    Maccabi-Caja Laboral
                    Pick 1: Maccabi (half time) -4.5 @ 1.90
                    Pick 2: Maccabi (full time) -8.5 @ 1.90
Maccabi is usually strong at home and after turning things around on Thursday I believe they will have the momentum to take care of business.

I was leaning the under in both the Panathinaikos and Olympiakos games, but the under fell in the Panathinaikos game and for the time being I will lay off it. If I have time later on I will try and add a few words.

I edited this post to add the Panathinaikos under.

A nice 4-1 day in Euroleague Basketball!
Too bad I decided to roll with the under in the Panathinaikos-Barcelona game. It was looking good early on, but lots of late fouls and free throws put the score over the total which was kind of low to begin with. Anyway, it was a great evening overall.

Sorry for not being able to post my plays lately. I haven't had the time and also still have internet problems. I'm only online for a few minutes each day just to place my bets. I've been on a great run in Eurohoops and I hope it continues. The NBA has drained me lately though unfortunately.

For today I have three plays in the Greek A1 league.

                            Here we go:

                            Kavala - Olympiakos
                            Pick: Olympiakos -18.5 @ 1.90

Olympiakos is in 1st place in the league and Kavala is falling. Nothing is over in this league and Olympiakos feels Panathinaikos' breath on their necks. Panathinaikos is just one point behind. After Olympiakos being eliminated in Euroleague by Sienna they should want to make some heavy wins for their fans and keep first place. Also they will be playing Panathinaikos coming up.

                            Ilysiakos - Marousi
                            Pick: Ilysiakos -4.5 @ 1.90

Ilysiakos has their season on the line here. They need the win and they are a really good team. Much better than their record shows. They have lost a lot of games by a basket. Marousi was not expected to do much this year, but they've had a great season instead. Even though Marousi is in 5th place and Ilysiakos is in 13th, Ilysiakos is a 4.5 point favorite.

                            Aris - AEK
                            Pick: Under 152.5 @ 1.90

AEK is playing their whole year here. If they don't play defense they're doomed. Aris has got their act together lately with their new coach and they're playing at home. Both Aris and AEK have gone over last two games and I think this has inflated the line a bit. I'll take my chances here.

This weekend there is a lot of action in European Basketball with all the major championships in play. There is a lot on the line in a lot of games since lots of teams are playing to clinch playoff positions while others are playing to save themselves from relegation. Even at the top of some leagues, teams are trying to clinch positions in the top 4.

These are the picks I selected for today, Saturday.

                                    Greece A1

                                    Ikaros – Iraklis
                                    Pick: Under 145.4 @ 1.90

This is Ikaros’ first time in the A1 (first division) and they have been very successful. They lost heavily to Panathinaikos, but otherwise have been very respectable. They want to close out the season on a winning note and against last and already relegated Iraklis they should have no problems. Their two American players have left the team and they have scoring problems. The coach doesn’t have many players to play with and among the ones he has are a couple of really young guys without much experience. It’s one of those games where teams have the chance to experiment as there is nothing to gain by either teams except the win of course and the satisfaction it brings. I’ll roll with the under here.

                                    Ilysiakos – Peristeri
                                    Pick: Ilysiakos -4.5 @ 1.90

I got this line yesterday night.
I got paid by Ilysiakos on Wednesday when they beat a pretty strong team, Marousi, and I’m taking them again today. I’m riding their train because they have everything to gain from a win here. They have their backs against the wall and they are a much better team than their record shows. They have lost a lot of games this year by a basket and in overtime and they shouldn’t be in second to last place in my opinion. This is a must win situation for them. They are fighting to stay in the league and the other team they have to compete with for the same reason is AEK which is also playing with their backs against the wall today, but away from home. So if Ilysiakos doesn’t win and AEK does, then things don’t look good for them. Their opponents, Peristeri, is still in playoff contention, but the atmosphere on the team is not good and their foreign players are not playing the best they can. They just stayed on the team to wind down the season.

                                    Panellinios – Kavala
                                    Pick: Kavala +7.5 @ 1.90

I really liked this line when I saw it and I’m going to follow my gut on this one. The season is already over for Panellinios since they don’t have to worry about relegation and they won’t be in the playoffs either. There’s a bad atmosphere in the team since a lot of players haven’t been paid and they’re just waiting around for the season to finish. Kavala, on the other hand, is still competing for a playoff position and with a win they will pretty much clinch it. They may be without their first scorer Milt Palacio, but still I think they can cover the spread.

                                    France LNB

                                    Nancy – Limoges
                                    Pick: Nancy -11.5 @ 1.90

In France today I decided to stick to one pick.

Nancy is hoping for a win and a loss by second place Salon Saone to take over 2nd place. Limoges is in terrible shape and is in last place in the league. If it weren’t for Nancy’s desire to take over second place I might have stayed off this game, but they have incentive and they may not let up just in case. Limoges has tons of problems and top them off they lost their first scorer and center to injury.

                                    Spain ACB

                                    Caja Laboral – Bilbao
                                    Pick: Bilbao +8.5 @ 1.90

Caja Laboral is the favorite here, but Bilbao is a really good team and is just one point below them in the standings. They usually play good defense too. Caja relies only on about 8 players and I don’t know how long they can keep producing. Bilbao is playing to get into the top 4 and they should give it all they have to do it. Even though Caja is the favorite here I like the spread for Bilbao.

                                    Gran Canaria – Hipouskoa
                                    Pick: Gran Canaria -9.5 @ 1.90

Gran Canaria has moved up to 7th place and has no intention on falling below 8th. They have been steady lately and they are up against a team that has been saved from relegation, but is not to be underestimated. I’ll take my chances with Gran Canaria.

The Gran Canaria-Lagun Aro GBC and Caja Laboral-Bilbao games are for tomorrow Sunday. I made a mistake posting them with today's plays. I was in a hurry to get to work. I was going to post them tomorrow anyway.

After a very strong start yesterday going 3-1 I lost both plays today making it a final 3-3 for Saturday and Sunday.
Today Caja Laboral took over the game from the start, but Bilbao tried to fight back in the last quarter and almost got the cover at the end. Gran Canaria was up by 20 at the end of the 3rd quarter and they went and lost the 4th quarter by a score of 19-34 and almost lost the game! I couldn't believe it...

Anyway I'm happy because I won my biggest bet of the season which was Ilysiakos in the Greek league on Saturday.
Hope everybody had a profitable weekend!

                                          Hi everyone!
I haven't been posting lately, but I'm back today to post my plays for the Euroleague semi finals on May 6 (Friday).
I also had a play I posted on twitter earlier today, but I didn't have the time to come online and post. Hope some of you got it since it was a winner!

So for Friday May 6 Euroleauge semi finals:

                                          Panathinaikos - Sienna
                                          Pick: Panathinaikos -5.5 @ 1.90

I strongly believe that Panathinaikos has the better team here. I think the line is only -5.5 since it's the final four. In my opinion the series between Panathinaikos and Barcelona was where the 2 teams that should have been in the finals played. Barcelona was eliminated and now Panathinaikos is left and should take care of business against Sienna.
Also Panathinaikos' coach Zelimir Obradovic's eyes shine when he's in the final four. I think he will not let his team let up for a minute in this game.

Maccabi Tel Aviv - Real Madrid
                                          Pick: Maccabi -3.5 @ 1.90

Maccabi is a very strong team with a real scoring potential. I'm rolling with them also because Real has not been very convincing this year in my opinion. Well at least not as convincing as I had expected them to be. Maccabi took care of Spanish champions Caja Laboral to advance to this stage and Real has been kind of shaky.

                                            Spain ACB

                                            CB Valladolid - Fuenlabrada
                                            Pick: Fuenlabrada +5.5 @ 1.90

Fuenlabrada has been hot lately winning by 9 or more points in its last 4 wins. Their last two wins were against Real Madrid and Bilbao by 9 points each which are two of the better teams in the league.
On the other hand, Valladolid has not been hot. As a matter of fact they haven't been playing well at all. They've lost 5 of their last 6 games and don't seem to want to make the playoffs even though they are in a position to fight for a spot.
I'll take my chances with the points I'm getting with Fuenlabrada.

                                                  Spain ACB

                                                  CB Valladolid - Fuenlabrada
                                                  Pick: Fuenlabrada +5.5 @ 1.90 - Won (72-68)

Fuenlabrada has been hot lately winning by 9 or more points in its last 4 wins. Their last two wins were against Real Madrid and Bilbao by 9 points each which are two of the better teams in the league.
On the other hand, Valladolid has not been hot. As a matter of fact they haven't been playing well at all. They've lost 5 of their last 6 games and don't seem to want to make the playoffs even though they are in a position to fight for a spot.
I'll take my chances with the points I'm getting with Fuenlabrada.
This game was neck and neck the whole time. Fuenlabrada would take the lead then lose it and then again. I actually thought they would probably win outright so I thought the points were generous. What matters is that the play is a winner.

I saw about an hour ago that the line for the Panathinaikos-Sienna game moved in my favor at my book (bet365) and I'm taking it. So I'm taking Panathinaikos -4.5 @ 1.90

Game starts in about 45 minutes.

                                                                  Pick: Maccabi -3.5 @ 1.90 - Won (82-63)

Maccabi is a very strong team with a real scoring potential. I'm rolling with them also because Real has not been very convincing this year in my opinion. Well at least not as convincing as I had expected them to be. Maccabi took care of Spanish champions Caja Laboral to advance to this stage and Real has been kind of shaky.
Great night tonight in Euroleague going 2-0.

Panathinaikos started slow and was down by 4 at the end of the first quarter. They weren't getting the rebounds, but the Siena players made a lot of fouls which helped out at the end. Panathinaikos is a really deep team and being down at some point during the game means absolutely nothing to this team. They can turn it around anytime. They've already won 5 Euroleague Titles and they're out to get their 6th.

Maccabi also had a close first half, but came out and literally took over the game. They showed that they are a powerhouse team.

This is going to be an interesting final!

                                                                    Aris - Marousi

Aris is a better team. They signed two big men a few weeks ago to help in the paint and help the team in a position it needed help in. Unfortunately for them, they lost their first game in this series at home against a Marousi team that surprised them and it wasn't even close. Marousi has surprised everyone this year by finishing 5th when nobody even thought they would be in the top 10. They've also had a lot of problems with players leaving and generally the atmosphere has not been good. It's just the coach that's keeping them together. That of course gave us a great line for game 2 that I jumped on. (I tweeted that play). I think the Game 1 loss was more because the 2 new players didn't have time to adjust as they had just got there. Today they will be playing in a full house and they really want to get this win since they want to play in Euroleague next year. They have motivation and they have the ability to do this.

I really hope the winning continues!
