I figured I might as well start a thread instead of starting new threads every time I have a pick I like.

Here we go!

For today I like:

CAI Zaragoza vs Bilbao
Pick: Under 153.5
Starts in about 2.5 hours

Hopefully we can start making some money for New Year's!

I've got some plays for this evening.

Starting in a little while:

I'm on two plays for this game.
Here we go:

Basketball Greece A1 League
Panathinaikos - Olympiakos
Pick: Panathinaikos -7.5 @ 1.90

Pick 2: Same game Over 150 @ 1.83

This game is a huge Rivalry. Panathinaikos is playing at home and the difference in the points of the win are important because if they go to Olympiakos home court in Pireas and Olympiakos wins by more points then it could cost them home court advantage in the playoffs. Also this game is the return of Vasilis Spanoulis to his former team's court and the fans will give him a hard time that's for sure! I don't know if he can overcome the pressure and help his team to a positive result. He is of course a great player and has NBA experience.

Also in Spanish ACB:

Valencia - Gran Canaria

For today's Eurocup I'm on the following plays:

Unics Kazan (RUS) - Gran Canaria (ESP)
Pick: Over 146.5 @ 1.85
I might be going a little bit heavier on this one.

Estudiantes - Nymburk
Pick: Under 155.5 @ 1.85

I'm changing my pick on Unics Kazan - Gran Canaria: Over 146.5 @ 1.85 to Over 145.5 @ 1.90 since my book (bet365) has it at that number.

Also changing Estudiantes - Nymburk - Pick: Under 155.5 @ 1.85 to Under 156 @ 1.90 for the same reason.

I got home a little while ago and checked my book. Earlier I posted based on what I saw at another online book.

Let me add a few comments about both picks.

In the Unics - Gran Canaria pick, I thought that both teams are pretty much offensively oriented. Unics is scoring approximately 85 points per game in Europe and Gran Canaria 77. It may be close in my opinion but I think that even slightly they can manage the over.


As far as Estudiantes - Nymburk Logic tells me that they will be more careful than in the first round on defense in order to be careful for a good result for the future of the tournament. Estudiantes scores 82 pts at home in European play and receives 72 whereas Nymburg score 85 and receive 78. Adding things up gives me 150.


So my changed picks are these:

Pick: Over 145.5 @ 1.90

Estudiantes - Nymburk
Pick: Under 156 @ 1.90

Both plays were way off. It seems as though a lot of the Eurocup games today were pretty high scoring. Also I'm impressed with Gran Canaria. They gave it a fight and covered the spread even though they lost. They seem to be getting their act together.

Sorry buddy I just saw your post. I was going to play the under 151.5 in the Efes-Siena game, but I got home from work at the beginning of the second half so I didn't have a chance to play it.
I had a really nice write up on that game ready and everything.

I was also thinking about making a play on Valencia to cover @ -7.5 against Zalgiris but I changed my mind. Zalgiris has a new coach, Ilias Zouros, so I changed my mind. He might just be able to change the team so I thought it was too unpredictable for me and stayed away.

BOL on your picks though! Hopefully I will have some time tomorrow to post some plays.

Caja Laboral is my team in European Basketball, but cannot trust them tonight. They lost on Sunday against Valladolid playing really bad. I know that Saski Baskonia had a hard time at the first round of the competition and their effort to achieve the second phase is at least memorable.
If i had to pick something i would pick Caja ML. but i m gonna stay away.

I felt good about Caja. It's probably better that you stayed away. If you don't have a feeling for a game then it's better just to watch. No need for extra stress nowadays!

Malaga was playing for the first time with their new coach after Reneses. They are still in a mess.
I think Caja is the better team. They have a better quality roster and perform better in clutch situations. Also after Panathinaikos won last night they will want to win to stay in the game for the first place in their group.

Here's what I'm on today. As you've probably noticed, I never play so many games. I decided to go overboard today. Wish me luck.

Greece A1 - Round 14
Ilysiakos - Kavala
Pick: Under 147.5 @ 1.90

Ilysiakos got a very important win against Collosos Rhodes and they have been unlucky this season having lost some games by just a point or two.
Kavala was terrible against PAOK giving up the game. Nevetheless they are still in the top 8 and we'll see if they can stand the pressure and stay there. Ilysiakos needs the win and should give it all they got. I doubt that they will have the same performance as they did against Collosos. So I decided to stay away from the side and go with the under in this game.

PAOK - Panathinaikos
Pick: Panathinaikos -13.5 @ 1.90

PAOK is playing at home without fans though as they are punished. They also have some issues with players being unpaid. A key player, Lazaros Papadopoulos hasn't been going to practice because of the same reason. I don't think they can take on Panathinaikos especially without the fans on their side.


Peristeri - Kolossos
Pick: Under 141.5

Low line here with two teams that don't score that much. I'll take my chances and roll with the under here.

Le Havre - Strasbourg
Pick: Under 150.5 @ 1.90

Le Havre is not in good form. They are a pretty unpredictable team. They only score 65 pts. Strasbourg is also one of those teams. I'll roll with the under here.

Barcelona has the one of the best defenses of the league. They seem to be getting better. They beat Macabbi 81-71 with Navarro scoring 24pts with 5/10 3 pointers. On the other hand, Gran Canaria seems to be their bad luck team. They are playing Barca at home today and they have a strong home court support. They also have goals. They are trying to get into the top 8 in the league. They have had a positive run in Eurocup where they recently beat Malaga and they almost beat Uniks. I went against them twice and lost my money. I will take a chance with them tonight. To some this might seem risky (it does to me too), but I think Barcelona will have to try hard to leave there a winner. Also Gran Canaria have only lost once against Barcelona at home the last 7 years in league play. I'll take my chances with the home dog here.
