I can't believe what happened in the Fener game. I checked the score on this game almost at the end of the game and I thought to myself what an easy under. Then I saw that the game went to overtime. 138 points in regulation time. This deal with the books counting overtime is pretty unfair. Good capping loses and luck takes over.
The Siena - Partizan game turned out to be pretty tough with Partizan fighting hard for a win.

Wow. Panathinaikos just got themselves in trouble. Obviously they are in a slump and they're having problems at the guard position where Dimitris Diamantidis is in a class of his own, but he needs some good backup players to help the team out with shots from the perimeter and give him some time to rest during games. Nice game by Lietuvos though.

Aris won on Tuesday in Ukrania in Eurocup action. Just when I thought Aris was finished they go and win in Ukrania keeping their hopes for advancing in Eurocup alive. Aris have a new coach, Lefteris Subodic who was a former player during their glory days. He is not being accepted by a large number of the fans as he was also coach in the past and they have some "issues" I think he will win them over. The team seems to be finding itself slowly but surely. They are in 7th place and are hoping to keep their playoff hopes alive and Subodic puts a lot of emphasis on defense. Kolossos on the other hand has been deflating as of late. There is talk of financial problems too. They lost to last place Iraklis last week that came as a big surprise. I think Aris wins outright but the odds are not good. So I'll take the spread with some risk because Kolossos has talent but problems at the moment.

AEK - Peristeri
Pick: Under 145.5 @ 1.90

AEK is one of the most historical teams in Greece and Greek basketball. In the past they were even European Champions. Unfortunately for them (and their fans), they have been struggling the last years. They have an owner who just doesn't care. The fans don't want him, but he's like a bad habit that just won't go away. Last year AEK just saved itself at the end from being relegated. This year they are second to last with their backs against the wall. They have a big fan base but they are very disappointed with the team both in basketball and football. Their opponents Peristeri are pretty much in the playoffs for sure. I don't see a reason why they should play their hardest against AEK. They have a tough defense and usually allow around 65-68 points on D. If AEK wants to win they will also have to play tough defense too. This is why I'm going with the under here.

Panionios - Ilysiakos
Pick: Ilysiakos +7.5 @ 1.90

Panionios is in 8th place and after a big win against PAOK away from home they are looking at the playoffs again. They need to have consistency in their game to keeps their hopes alive though. They also have a home court that gathers lots of fans. Ilysiakos is in 12th place (out of 14) and wants to stay away from the danger zone. They beat AEK away last week and have been very unlucky this season losing six games by just 1 point and two lost games in overtime! Both teams will have to play hard. I think this Ilysiakos team can cover the +7.5. Their fighters and they have talent. Panionios may win but I think it will stay close.

I wasn’t going to post my plays for the Eurocup today because it has been a real roller coaster this season. I decided I might as well post them, but if anybody wants to follow I suggest going light. I will be going light myself just for the fun of it.

2-1 on the day in Euroleague. I was kind of surprised the Valencia-Fener game ended going over. I thought that since this game meant a lot that both teams would play a tighter defense. Can't complain though.

This will be a very easy win for Panathinaikos that can take the difference wherever it wants. The thing is that I think that they have no reason to humiliate their opponents today. They are in last place anyway and Panathinaikos doesn't have to tire themselves by blowing out Iraklis.

The atmosphere on the Olympiakos team is very good at the moment. They finished first in their group in the Euroleague and are on top of the Greek League. PAOK on the other hand, have lots of problems. Their center and one of their biggest assets left the team and they also have financial problems to the extent that the players asked the fans to fill the stadium so they can get paid!

Alicante is in 16th place out of 18 teams. They have a scoring problem. In their last game they scored only 48 points and the game ended 48-49! I can't remember such a low score this season. Anyway Bilbao is a respectful team and is in 5th place in the league. They play good defense and their last 6 games have ended with an average of 146 points. When I saw the line at betoto I took it. They have held their ground against much better teams so I'm taking them to cover the spread too.

Lagun Aro almost surprised Bilbao in their game last week but lost in OT. They don't have any goals left and are at around the middle of the league in 13th place. Real hasn't been its usual self as of late, their coach left and they haven't had much duration in their game. I think the name will take over and cover. They need this win to make a statement that they're still alive. They are in 2nd place just one point behind Barcelona.
