I saw you posted in Lyon and LB's thread about how you disagreed with Doc Rivers having Ray Allen guard Kobe last year in the finals. Who would you put on Kobe on that Celtics starting 5?

I agree 100% with Ray on Kobe as he is a better defender than Pierce. All I said that though you can't let Ray guard him the whole game. Kobe had a phenomenal series and Ray's offensive production struggled in the later games even though he was getting wide open shots. The combination of having to guard bryant for the whole series plus having to run off screens gave him no elevation in his legs. His shots were flat and thats not normal for a pure shooter like allen- when that happens you know its because of fatigue. If doc gave Pierce some time to guard Kobe and threw Tony in there more and Daniels Ray would have had a lot more energy in game 7.

Even though I will say that Ray's defensive performance on Kobe in game 7 was one of the best defensive performances I have ever seen in an nba finals game.

Tony Allen is an excellent defender and would have been very useful if used more on Kobe.

i am up for the year 1.62k but that is with live bets included which i dont post. the thread YTD i will go back and calculate it when the season ends. i have a w/l next to pretty much every play so it will make it easy. i would say on the thread plays i could be anywhere from down 500 to up 500. probably somewhere in that range. maybe i'll throw a 70x play out there to keep up with some of the high rollers

Hm...well mostly everyone is on the Jazz right now and most betters don't expect them to drop 2 straight at home after just losing to the Heat and having lost to the Mavs last week I'm assuming. not really sure. i like the magic. only thing that scares me is carter. he goes on stretches of shitty shooting like this every year that last like a month straight. if raja bell doesn't play it could help though.

my thoughts are the performance you saw last night from wade and lebron are not top class. they are actually very average performances for wade and lebron. you will see these kinds of numbers very often throughout the season
