I have said the last 4 years that my canes are NOTHING to be afraid of in those seasons. This year I am just telling people you better watch out. Half of this team will be playing in the NFL at one point or another.

I am taking a good look at the Chicago Sky tonight. They are at home and playing against Connecticut. Connecticut is 10-5 while Chicago is 6-9 yet Chicago is favored by 1.5 points tonight. I would say about 60% of the public is on Conn tonight and the line has only moved from -2 to -1.5 Sky. I am in particular looking at the Sky for the 1H. The reason being that TheGreek is juicing the Sky 1H -0.5 -115.

I start to think why would they be juicing the Sky 1H -0.5 -115. My first answer/thought is the obvious. They are the worse team in this matchup and with such a low spread they have to win the 1H in order to have a chance to win late. Then I started to look into the stats and noticed a few things.

Chicago is 3-0 their last three 1H's vs Conn and they haven't been too close.

This is how Conn has fared on the road in the 1H. Conn is 3-4 in the 1H on the road with big losses when they lose. Two of their wins came against two teams that have just been playing horrendous in PHX and TUL. The other 1H win was against NY who they eventually lost by 9 to in that game.

I also like the Sky for the full game. Conn has only 3 road wins and two were against joke teams in LA and Tulsa, who are IMO the two worst teams in the league. The other win came against PHX who is HIGHLY underachieving this year and playing bad also. Connecticut is HIGHLY overvalued tonight due to their easy schedule as of late.

Don't forget that the Sky already beat Conn this year @ Conn by 9. They won this game despite being down at half on the road which is a tough task in the WNBA since the home teams are so dominant usually. This should be added confidence to a Sky team who is below .500. They have been playing better as of late though winning 2 of their last 3 games with the loss coming to a good Indy team.
