My record is 17-18 (-0.9 UNITS) with two plays pending. I am nowhere near as good in this league as I am NBA, I just don't have the time/patience to watch these girls play on a nightly basis. Also, this is my first full year handicapping the WNBA. I have been watching and playing NBA games for about 9 years now. Hopefully I can turn a small profit though and make real strides next year.

nah, i wasn't talking about injuries, i think in baseball they announce the line ups before the game not relating to just injuries but who will sit to rest that day, i wonder if wnba or nba does that too, and if there was a way for us to find out before the game? thanks

I think in baseball you have to announce the lineups prior to the game, the NBA/WNBA is not like that. They don't have to announce prior. Just look at the previous games starters and check for injuries is the best you can do.

SJ, justnoticed 5 Dimes has posted lines for their college footballs games of the year. They've got Miami +9.5 against OSU. Sportsbook has Miami just at +8. Don't know if that's close to what you thought it would be. As I said way earlier, that's a game I'm laying off entirely. The one pick I really like out of the whole list is Nebraska -5 on the road against Washington on 9/18. They've got it -4.5 on Sportsbook. Think I'm gonna make the leap. Looking forward to your next WNBA picks.

I love Miami in that game, +9.5 is a gift. Those teams are very evenly matched, I don't see where OSU is so much better than Miami. I have already researched this game extensively and I think Miami is a very strong play.

UM may have the best offense in the nation this year, very good QB Jacory Harris, the best WR's (Hankerson, Benjamin, Byrd, Collier) , two very good RB's (Cooper, Berry), outland trophy award nominee at LT (Franklin), #1 Rivals Player in the Nation Freshmen OT Seantrell Henderson. I don't see how they keep up with us offensively. Terrell Pryor is highly over-rated because of his running ability against bad teams. Look at his big games last year and you won't really be impressed except against Oregon. UM has the #1 DT in the nation in Allen Bailey who will cause havoc and collapse the pocket on a regular basis. We have a shut down corner also in All-American Brandon Harris who will take away Pryor's favorite target. We also have a top 15 safety in the nation in Ray-Ray Armstrong who will not give up big plays over the top.

My heads always up. I am 18-19 (-1 UNIT). I go on a very small run and I'll be at a nice +unit and hitting 60% in no time. I am just having trouble finding time to properly handicap the games and not half-ass the plays. Work has been real busy lately, not that I am complaining.

I do have a lot of time today and there are a good amount of games today so I will have some plays up very soon.

This line makes little sense. LA has owned Minnesota for a long time winning four straight and six of the last 7 games. Minnesota is currently on a four game losing streak while LA is coming off their 2nd road win. Everything points to a probable LA win yet the Lynx open up at -5.5 and have gone up to -7 with the public pretty much split on the game. This line makes very little sense. LA has struggled on the road this year going 2-10 and I think they lose by 10+ today. I am putting 0.5 unit on each because I couldn't decide to just put one unit on one of the plays.

Haven't followed Beaver league, but you make a good argument for a strong play on the Lynx. I know this would be a classic betting strategy if this was a NBA opp. The same theory you have here works more times than it don't in other sports so I am thinking of following your lead here. History shows when the opening line and the line movement makes no sense more times than not it would behoove you to go in that direction. BOL!

Mercury/Storm UNDER 178.5 LOCKED (x3)

The Mercury and Storm have played against each other twice this year. The first game the combined score was 171. The second game the combined score at the end of four quarters was 156 (game went to OT). I think that OT game is really affecting the total on this game because of the fact that they ended up scoring 218 in that game because of a 62 point OT.

In their last ten matchups not one game has gone OVER 178.5 in regulation. They have had four OT games in the last ten but none of them were OVER 178.5 after four quarters. Phoenix is on their straight road game and coming off a OT win with 251 points scored. I just think they are going to run out of gas in the 2H and the Storm will pull away with their great defense. Game should be in the high 160's IMO. I am putting 3 UNITS on this one, my biggest WNBA play yet.

Excellent insight, this is exactly what happened. PHX scored 8 points in the 3rd QTR. It got a little dicey there in the 4th with the fouls but they managed to stay under the total.

for sure you know too they will make huge errors at the begginning undervaluing good teams, the league is much different than it was. if your a models guy it might be hard to use them for teams like the Heat ATS, unless you know whats gonna happen. i expect Lebron to average any where around 25 a game 9 and 9. Wade will get maybe 29 6 and 9. Bosh will put up like 19 and 10. Haslem is good for 10 and 7 he will be the 6th man.
