This is one of those games where you either back Magic and call it the easiest bet every when it cashes, or pass on the game and if ATL covers, you just say oh well.

The Hawks are not worth backing here. Period. Under any circumstances. It's one bet and it would cash the same as a MLB under or hockey over. Find something else better to do with your money if you're toying with the notion of taking Atlanta, folks.

Magic -1.5 1st Quarter LOCKED

Orlando has won 9 out of the last 10 1st quarters against Atlanta by at least two points. The average win margin for ORL is 7.66 points in the 1st quarter. The Hawks worst quarter statistically this year is the 1st quarter, they are 41-32 SU in the 1st quarter and only score 24.9 pp1Q and give up 24.5 pp1Q. The Magic on the other hand average 26.9 in the 1st quarter and allow 24.2 in the 1st quarter, there best point differential of any quarter. I think the Magic come out again and smack around the Hawks. You got Joe Johnson of all people getting emotional and saying things he doesn't mean. The fans are just dieng for the Hawks to start off bad so they can start booing them for making them buy these expensive playoff tickets. Atlanta is a huge bandwagon basketball city. Atlanta doesn't want anything to do with a game 5 because they know they will undoubteldy lose by 15+ @ ORL. They are just a pure jump shooting team against ORL since they can't go inside and their best jump shooter is shooting like 30% lately, Joe Johnson.

Bennett Salvator and Bill Spooner are reffing this game. They both slightly favor road teams this year with a combined 68-64 ATS for the road team.

Also TheGreek ,a very sharpbook, is juicing the Magic 1st Quarter -1.5 -115. A bunch of places are already up to -2 Magic 1st Quarter

No, that's highly inflated. Get it at -2, check for the line all day.

I took it for a small amount before you replied, then it went to 3.5 in my book so I even feel a little better about it.

What is your lean on Utah today. I know they burned us on the game last time, but do you really think the lakers can sweep them. Personally I don't. It is a long road to the finals and to put 3-5 game win streaks is tough and there has to be a let up somewhere. The spread is now at -3 for the jazz and the ML is at -150. I am thinking the jazz cover today but waiting to see what you come up with. I have taken the jazz to cover at home as an auto bet for most of the year and have done well with that. I know the playoffs are a different beast, but I just don't see them getting swept. Your thoughts? Plus I need a whole game to take for SBR points, I keep giving them away to you and a few other cappers and can't keep up. Ha Ha

I also didn't see Utah losing game 3 though and look what happened.

Kyle Korver went 9-10 and 5-5 from 3 pointers with 23 points in only 24 minutes like he did last game. He was the ONLY reason that game was close. I don't see him playing like that again.

Do you also really see Bynum scoring ZERO points again like he did last game , Gasol only scoring 14 points, Odom going 2-6, LA scoring 17 points in the 1Q, or the LA bench shooting 33% again? I don't think people realize just how mediocre LA played last game and still beat Utah in a must win situation.

Sharp post and well said..Those are the reason's for me to pass this game tonite. Tonite is for the taking if the Lakers want it. I watched the 4Q of that game when the Lakers decided to take the game.. It appeared Kobe was fine either way and when his teammates decided to hit big shots he figured it was closing time. In actuality the Lakers only played hard at the end and took it. Utah played pretty good and Lakers played just OK for them and it was good enough.

I have put my orders in for my free chicken dinner on Orl tonite with the rest of the world. Orlando will be looking to finish those clowns tonite. Funny thing is Orlando hasn't even played hard yet and they are wiping the floor with the Hawks. I don't know what could go wrong so bad for Orlando to lose and so right for Atlanta tonite. If they teach me a new lesson and lose tonite than I will double up on Orlando game 5 if needed but I don't think it will be needed.

Thanks SJ for putting it back in persepctive for me. I will wait to play jazz at home next year when there are so many other chances for easy wins.

Also, it seems to make sense that if you have a chance to take the Lakers with points, then that is probably a better bet anyways.

SJ.. the Majic have now played 12 quarters with the Hawks in this series. 11 out of 12 Quarters the Majic have won by 2 or more points. Now, I know the line is different for alot of those quarters but I thought it was worth noting.
