MT, I was down 30x (1x=100) when all the chaos started. I have been chippin away very selective on picks now I am 20X down you just have to take smaller steps until you confidence is back up. what was hard is I only had 1.5X of bankroll left.

How did you take it as the lakers tomorrow. He said lakers loss last time, and they're without bynum. He also said spurs have been playing solid, and the last time it was lakers vs spurs, it was -3.5 spurs. Now its -1 spurs and they;ve been playing better.

You say it is only +1. What do you think it should be? With the Lakers being such a public favorite they could have made them 1 or 2 point favorites and still got a ton of action on them (like the Phoenix game). The fact that they are giving the Lakers points seems to me like they want people to bet on them.

wrong - people are gonna bet on the lakers no matter what like you said they are the public favorite all the time. the fact that the spurs are playing well in recent times compared to the first meeting in san an when spurs were -3.5 and won by 20. now spurs are much better and only -1. and lakers have no bynum.

When compared to the last meeting in San Antonio I definitely see what you mean. I specifically remember that game because I was one of the few people on this board who took the Spurs. Kobe also left that game with an injury but if I remember correctly the Lakers made a run without him and the game was actually a lot closer than the score indicated. I see your point though the books are not willing to give the Lakers 3.5 points which is quite telling in itself.

Thanks MT! I have a little boy: he's 7 months old but was born 2 months premature so now I've given up any thought of going back to FT work anytime soon and am going to spend as long as I can at home with him as we both almost died at birth (he was born not breathing and took 5mins to revive him).

And Paco, not that I'm saying going with colours is any good, but horse racing is huge down here and before I really knew what I was doing (not that many races in Canada lol), I made a truckload backing jockey's colours and names. Now that I actually understand the form guide and research the damn races: not so much

Lakers were not at full strength though. Gasol was out last time and Kobe left the game with an injury. This time around Bynum is out but so is Parker for the Spurs. Spurs have been doing just fine without him though which comes as no surprise to a Spurs fan like myself.

Thanks LB! It definitely wasn't the easiest or best experience but the end result has more than made up for it all. I'm almost at the point where I'd be willing to go through it all again if I was guaranteed I'd end up with another baby just like him. Almost. Firemedic: No brain damage whatsoever. No medical problems after his 2mth hospital stay, no nothing. Never even had a cold yet. Small for his age but that's to be expected. He's my little miracle dude, and the reason I got back into gambling a bit more hardcore again. Going to do everything I can to make sure I can stay home with him as long as possible!
