I want this thread to just die now too, but DEX, it's not just about the money for these guys. It's the adrenaline rush, and/or the guys they're involved with on the streets. A lot of professional athletes are gambling addicts. It has nothing to do with them "needing" money.

I just can't believe how many of you are in denial about games being fixed by more than just refs and college kids. It's amazing how many of you take these outcomes at face value. THANK YOU!!!! at least someone else besides me has a clue on this site.

game was definitely rigged. i had zero dollars on the game, yet could plainly see the riggedness. it's the nba- is anyone rly suprised?

The nay sayers in this thread remind me of the majority of poker players back in the day that refused to believe that some online poker sites were rigged and that there was wide scale cheating happening online. It just didn't make sense to some people, why would the sites cheat, they're making millions from rake, why jeapardise a multi million dollar business just so they can cheat their customers out of a few dollars? Because money is money people, don't be so ****ing ignorant!

Since the Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet poker scandals came to light, there have been several major cheating scandals exposed, to suggest there isn't any sort of riging involved in sports is just ignorant.

Yes, the games are rigged.
Yes, there is nothing we can really do about it, how can you prove some teams are choosing to take the low % shots and play no D in certain quarters to keep the line and game interesting (good for ratings), you can't.
Yes, we will continue to bet, just don't make sides your bread and butter.

Of course there was (and is) cheating in online poker. What do you expect when you can't watch them shuffle, cut and deal the cards? Would you play in a casino or home game where a butler brought in the cards from the kitchen all shuffled up and ready to go? No, you wouldn't. No one would. Yet, that's what happens with every single hand of poker played online.

Of course there is cheating in professional sports, but I don't think anyone here is intelligent enough to know when it occurs. They might think they are, but they're not. There's a very simple reason for that:

when a team loses the game was rigged, yet when a team wins it was brilliant handicapping.

No one ever seems to get "rigged" into a winner.

how about those toronto raptors, tiger woods made me a golf fan after the 1996 amateur u.s. open he won( i think that was the name of the tournament), after last nights game i am sick of the nba , and i have had enough, how the fookkk do you play like that at home, this shiiiiit about bosh being one of the elite players makes me sick, did you see durant that is an elite player folks

TGoat, I thought you were smarter than that, there's much more going on than this statement suggests there is. Seeing hole cards, as in the UB and AP scandals were just the tip of the ice berg, happy to expand on this if required.

Guys, it's hard for me to decide if NBA games are fixed or not, I guess once a year there is some kind of a fixed game for sure. I can state though in Europe, Italy and Russia particularly do fixed, a few years ago there have been huge prosecutions in leagues A and B and C in those countries. Milan lost a lot of points in seria A and was deprived of the medals, Juventus was downgraded to league B or C don't remember. ANd THOSE ARE THE TOP TWO ITALIAN SOCCER CLUBS(one of the TOP in the whole world). Kinda like NY Yankees in the States. That's the first thing I know about fixed stuff. The other thing makes me believe in your US HOOPS there may be fixed matches is
1. In Russia inthe 1st soccer league there was a team Petrotrest in the 1st league. It was a bunch of 17-19 year olds, and that was a miracle how they had appeared in the 1st league. The deal is nearly all of their 7 won games they won at start odds from +150 to +5-600 starting and later on during the day the game was either no longer available, either the odds could fall from 400 to 200 and you couldn't bet more than 70$ on a game, no parlays no nothing.
2. My classmate played for Zakarpattia (Ukraine), on the bench and for the 2nd squad, but he told me of two fixed games he got to know about in his club in the Premier Ukrainian league. Both won for him.

So I believe fixed games are everywhere and for many reasons, but I am sure that's far away from being like every day there's a fixed game in NBA or NHL. And if even so, us, common folks, would never know about those.
BEWARE lot's of SCAMDICAPPERS claim they sell fixed stuff, but that's NONSENSE. A lot of those one can see if you google SOCCER TIPS, many sites have blacklists, I know few blacklists of over 100 crooks.
So have fun betting honestly played games and enjoy that until it has hit the US.
