peter, I only booked Cleveland 1Q so far.

Looking at the Lakers/Bobcats OVER 191. I don't think the Lakers lay another dud on the road. Phil Jackson probably tore into them about their crappy performance against Atlanta.

I know it might sound crazy but I might back the Kings. The Hornets are coming off a nationally televised win over the Spurs and that was a win they definitely needed. Now, they face the Kings, who are going nowhere and have nothing to play for (which might be a good thing). They have to travel to Arco where they are 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings up there. They are also 0-5 ATS vs the Kings in the last 5 meetings. I don't know why but it seems like the Kings play them well. I definitely remember backing them last time with a spread of +9. The lines makers adjusted that to reflect the victory in the last meeting. The reverse line movement makes me feel better about this play but I don't know if I can back the Kings two consecutive nights.

My picks for today:

Det+10 (.5 pt buy) After losing all 3 games to the Cavs this season I think Detroit would like to keep this one close and not get swept in the entire series. The public is all over the Cavs, which makes this play even better.

Atl+2 Not a strong pick but I think this team will want to prove that they're better than Philly in the Eastern Conference and with Dalembert possibly out then it looks even better.

Ind 1st half -1 This team tends to play better in the first half and Chicago plays the opposite.

Ind-2 They play well against Chicago at home and they've been playing better lately. This was a home and home series losing to Chicago earlier and so now its payback. Chicago is good at home but not so much on the road.

Dal 1st half over 102.5 No explanation. Just a hunch.

Spurs-12 (.5 pt buy) This is a payback for the loss at OKC by 2pts. OKC has been struggling losing their last 3 games by double digits and Spurs will come out with motivation after the loss to NO.

Den 1st half over 113.5 I'll ride with the 1st half going over just like yesterdays game with Utah/NYK and the day before that with Pho/Sac. I expect a lot of running and scoring and hardly any defense. Also I believe the line is set high to deceive the public to thinking it'll go under.

Den over 221.5 This is the highest line set between the two teams at Denver dating all the way back to 1998 with none of the games coming close to this pt. margin. Actually it is the highest total set home or away dating back between these two teams.

Por-6 This is a big game for Portland for the divisional race with Denver and they play Utah very well at home.

NO under 201. I like NO to go under because they've been playing a lot of defense whether they're home or away. They will continue to play their half court game and try to shut down Sac with their defense since they're limited on who they can go to offensively on the team with the nagging injuries that they have.

Going with CK's plays today except for Denver, which probably should get the job done but they're a team lacking discipline at times and letting teams get back into the game. They don't have that killer instinct and so I'm going to have to pass on this one. Going to track my record from here on out to see how I do. Bol to all!

Okay so i got the day wrong and put down the 1st but you guys all get the idea! For today's action I like the Denver Nuggets to cream the Knicks who more than held their own against the Jazz last night. Teams generally have a hard time keeping consistent energy in high altitude and with eh knicks playing two straight games at altitude against a well rested Nuggets squad is a recipe for disaster. (I am going light on all of these wagers as i don't really see a game that I can hammer out. Dallas may end up being a candidate though. Anyway....)
