We just saw the Lakers fail to cover the high spread of +17 @OklahomaCityThunder. Travel to play tonight on no rest @Spurs...
Isn't pop known for resting players, and could easily do so tonight with a decent lead late into the 3rd. Lakers worth a shot here facing a back-to-back spread of +17; giving that pop has a history off resting players? There an sdql on spurs players NOT playing in the 4thq?

I'm on the Fakers myself tonight, via this bounce-back query:

AD and p: AL and p: margin<=-13 and tA(points)>=100 and o:WP>=60 and o:rest>0

Agree on the possible SA rest nonsense being a nice bonus if it happens, plus the Lakers almost beat the Spurs in a similar spot back in Jan (lost by 3).

That's on my list of 'things to feed into SDQL when I get time', have always wondered what the historical results were when a team's best player was out because the public usually goes apeshit the other direction and moves the line pretty heavily. Not sure how to do it though, can't remember if I've seen a parameter that can be molded to fit that scenario.

I think it suits tonight's game better (if I understand that SQDL thing and wrote it properly) and that gives 26 - 3 ATS record.

I wanted to add that the team itself has winning percentage below 40% (that's the case for the Lakers).

Did I do it correct?

Reposting Figue's string here for easy find, its pretty amazing. Changing season to 2010 from 2002 makes it look even better:

AF and -3<=ats streak<=-1 and 1<=o:ats streak<=2 and 1<= rest<=2 and season>2010

Anyone's queries relating to the Magic/Wizards game? I'm interested because there's three high-foul refs, and those offenses match up pretty well with those defenses. The prior games split, something like 185, something like 220, but both in Washington, and we know by now that the Magic are a different team depending on whose house they play in.

Lot of injury uncertainty in Lakers-Spurs game, in case ya'll didn't see. Edit: And Portland's missing aldridge brings me to...

Yep, yep, nice work there I like it. So long as you always start with the base (wider) query scenario to first locate a possible game, then add some filters at that moment to see if the pick still holds up (like in/out conference, in/out division, size of line, month, etc), then the more drilled-down final queries work great to lock it down and 'confirm' the initial pick.

Who cares about the ATS streak, they're mutually exclusive to whether they cover the spread this game.

Jmon is right this one isn't bad at all, good job Luck.

For game sample sizes everyone is different but generally you want to see as large a sample as possible. I try to shoot for 50+ games from 2006-2013, or roughly 6-7 plays per season. It's ok to go lower for sure, just make sure your filters make logical sense (there's a reason behind them beyond just better numbers).

Sorry mate could you please tell me what this play is? When I copy and paste into the SDQL query and just says that it is an error and I know there are issues with copy and pasting with the queries.
