loved last night rode the hell out of the lakers. big night. i had the lakers straight teased them with the heat and had the over. i am wit ck tonight i don not like any nba at all. goin to sit out tonight and wait for tomorrow since i had big night.
WOW good job. even tough i feel that you probaly thought at no point during that game that u were gonna win. it took a monumental meltdown along with some of the luckiest rolls (masons last shot) to get your cover. oh well
Ck I like the fact that R Islands line is holdin tight

CK - If you don't mind me asking... what do you have Milwaukee 'capped' at tomorrow night? I've got something around -8. Anything less than that and i'm jumping in head first... 1 or 2 over that I'm buying the points.
Thoughts?

devon,
nice data. im hoping to recover my lost on port and san.
i was a wuzz in going regular play on atl.
going big on cavs. they are on solo lead at the standing with lakers losing by a darn point. I dont see LJ allowing a lose or less than convincing win when all eyes are finally on his every move.
LJ loves the attention. he will dominate this game while it last. hopefully west and williams can serve as a good backup tom

guys without blake and fernandez, the burden will be to much for roy. cant rely on bayless with our cash. he shot 1-10 last night from what i remember and the bad thing is, HE DIDNT GET A SINGLE ASSIST.
thats your call if your leaning on port.

Man I've never seen guys talk about the day before so much on the thread. Get OVER it. Today is a new day. I personally lost 2 grand overall, and so what? Things happen like that in this thing of ours. Man up, and look forward. At least I feel good about the wager overall. It was the right call, the side I chose had a lull in scoring at the wrong time. But at least I played it heavy, and even though I took the loss, at least the crowd came to see what was going on at the table. And the cards just didn't fall in my favor. What didI do? Watch my wife make up some of the differential with a Kings play and have 4 shots a bath and a massage, wild western days style. So now I get up and move on.. We can't win or lose spreads for todays games talking about yesterday's games. Now get back to the future and let's make some picks.
As stated, I personally don't like the NBA card. I will put a small play on the Blazers 1st half and that's about it for me in the NBA unless someone can convince me of otherwise.
I am persoanlly starting to like Wisconsin-7 too. Everything is there for it to happen, even the disbelief of the public.
Still waiting it out for the Rhode Island line to go up to 2.5 or so. I would ideally like to catch them at 3, and make it 4, then pound it. But if it only goes to 2, then i can add a hook onto it, and take them at 2.5. With 90% of the public on the side of Xavier, this line has got to put a few points on my side, but it is also shaping up to be an ats shocker. I capped Rhode Island out to be a small favorite. Any points given to them in this game are too many.
I am also starting to think that Wofford shouldn't be getting points from College of Charleston. Apparently the Cougars are getting some name recognition love from the linemaker, when the fact is that Wofford is 6-2 ats nd a covering machine catching points at home. From what I saw, according to the power rankings, Wofford should actually be favored by 5. That is a huge pont differential, and I think that Charleston is headed for an upset loss in that one.

I have a lean toward a rested Cavaliers team to cover the spread over a Bulls team that is playing it's third game in four nights, and the tail-end of a back-to-back with travel involved. Waiting it out for a better line.
Also, the total for this game is set too low! Between these two teams, in the past six games, the total has only gone under on one occasion, and it was by half a point. (Total 195.5, 95 - 100 Bulls) Also, four of five games have gone over in games played in Chicago over the past three seasons.
The total opened at 194.5 and has gone up to 196.5 already.
Cleveland -8, over 197

JohnMorr08,
I don't know how much Milwaukee is gonna win by in actutality, but I have them winning by 10.5 or more with Sacramento going to 3 overtimes and their starters logging the big minutes.
It's going to be a little more difficult to fade the Warriors that night becuase they lost and also some of their starters had fouled out in regulation and the 1st overtime. But Milwaukee will blast the Kings out of the water. And oh hell yes, I am jumping in head first on that one too, and winning back that 2 grand differential I had yesterday AND then some. The extra money will be made by taking the Bucks second half as well. Oh my, games like tis don't come around that often. The PC's even like this one.

I think this is a good pick. They have shown their depth without Lucic. They are 17-3 against teams with losing records. Thomas is a beast in the net.
Every stat for the NYI are horrible ATS.
Looking at the stats any + odds on the BOS puckline looks to have value.

por-2? don't know this guys smells like a trap for me,eventhough blake & fernandez not playing this doesn't mean the line will open this as low,i was hoping around por-5.5.Do you know what i think about this game. Both teams played last night, both road games the result was both blowouts. But as you can see por lost to a lowly phi(they are really hot right now) which they can easily beat. But in the case of nj they are against the defending champs. Now,nj coming home going against por, for both of them will have to play better to erase the embarrasment they got last night.I know that por is a better team but i will go with the home team with this one as i see they are capable of going neck to neck with por with a complete lineup. So,if anyone who can tell me por is a good play or nj is a good play? Ck,what do you think?Ckmafia what do you all think? My pick:NJ+2 ,It's not yet my official play for me still waiting for your response and comments to my leans.Gladly accept every thoughts and opinions regarding to this game.
Thx.

A little light reading - North Carolina over Virgina
Think the Tar Heels might be a wee bit ticked off coming into this game? After absolutely cruising through the non-conference portion of their schedule – not a single non-league opponent came within 14 points of Roy Williams’ team – Carolina has dropped its first two ACC games. The first was a stunning 85-78 home loss to Boston College as a 23-point favorite; the second was Sunday’s 92-89 setback at current No. 2 and undefeated Wake Forest. So in the span of 10 days, the Tar Heels have gone from the lofty perch of undisputed No. 1 team in the land with legitimate talk of an undefeated season ,,, to the bottom of the ACC standings! Well, pity poor Virginia, which is going to incur the wrath of an immensely gifted team that’s now got a massive chip on its shoulder. In a nutshell, North Carolina is seeking to get its mojo back, and the quickest way to do that is to lay the wood to an inferior conference opponent on the road. Unfortunately for the Cavaliers, they drew the short straw tonight. Listen, if ever there was a game where Williams will leave his big guns in the whole way and run up the score if the given the opportunity, it’s this one. Nothing against Virginia per se; ol’ Roy is just desperate to restore confidence and that aura of invincibility within his players. Well, tonight, those players face a Virginia squad that’s just 4-6 in its last 10 games and has given up 78, 84 and 84 points in three of its last four games. Through their first 13 games, the Cavaliers have faced three opponents currently ranked in the Top 25, and they lost all three, getting blown out by both Xavier at home (84-70) and Minnesota on the road (66-56), while hanging at Syracuse (73-70 loss). North Carolina has won four in a row and six of the last seven in this rivalry, and although the Heels are just 2-3-1 ATS during this stretch, I promise you, in none of those previous meetings were they as determined or angry – or, for that matter, as talented – as they are tonight. Carolina is 5-2 ATS as a favorite of less than 20 points, and I’m telling you, this one has 25-point blowout written all over it.

ragiche,
you may have somehting there, with the newest injuries to Portland with Blake and Rodriguez. Bayless is learning his craft, and that means thar Roy will get the respnsibility of running the offense instead of coming off of screens for shots. Not saying that he isn't comfortable doing that, but New Jersey will figure that out by the half. With no tie for them to prepare for that adjustment, I am taking the Blazers in the 1st half only, as I expect this to be a hotly contested game, even if Portland does have their number. This game is a toss up all the way around. Even more reason for me to play college hoops today instead of NBA

my early lean was on the steelers, but i think the ravens may have something special here in joe flacco - he is the first rookie qb to win 2 playoff games (and they've been on the road). granted, its the defense winning for balt, but flacco is playing like a veteran and doing what is asked by a very smart coaching staff - these are just too many points to pass up imo for a ravens team that has gone 8-2 ats on the road (7-3 ats as a dog) - the ravens lost by 3 earlier in the year at pitt, and a similar close game should result.
-ravens _________________
The cards imo are definitely the correct choice. With a great reciever in Fitzgerald and his velcro like hands and Edge James trying to make a statement (and succeeding) they are a force to be reckoned with. Their defense is really picking up a head of steam and at the right time. Factor in the the motivational effects of being the underdog in your own back yard and I'd say you have the recipe for a straight up victory.

As far as the gridiron is concerned, I am all on board for the Cardinals as a live hoe dog playing with revenge on a different surface than the visitor, the Eagles. The Eagles are the only team getting press in this game as if they are playing it by themselves, and making ticket arrangements for the Super Bowl. In actuality the Cards may not travel to the East Coast well, but they don't have to travel out there for this game, which will be at home. The Eagles didn't play not one single above .500 team this year on the west coast, so it's hard to guage how they would do on the road against a good west coast team. I'll take my chances with the Cardinals after doing the film study to correct the errors of this year's earlier game.
The ravens just can't be given ANY points against ANY team right now, and that's pretty much the summary on that game.
I have the Cardinals facing the Ravens in the Super Bowl, with the Ravens winning the whole tournament.
GreatDanes52,
Actually I don't like the totals from tonight's action. I think that they are all a little inflated with theexception of Portland/New jersey, which will more than likely go over the total in the 1st half due to the carry over effect for both teams.

Phoenix is 1-5 as a dog in their last 6 situations, and 1-3 ats in their last 4 games at Denver, yet with 57% of bettors on their side, however, they have managed to pull the spread down from 2 to 1.5, which is significant as it pulled the spread off of a key number. If what i read is correct, they shuld get the job done tonight. Denver is up and down, and Phoenix is playing some good basketball right now despite the 1-4 ats record. They are showing some signs of getting life back into their offense. Overall they are 5-1 ats in their last 6 games against the Nuggets and 7-3 ats for the long haul. I look at this game and think of matchup nightmares for the Nuggets. Amare is 6 times the player of Martin, and Shaq even in old age is a much more formidable player than Nene. Nash and Billups are a wash because they are both good at the game that they play. J.R. Smith is a cannon, but the Suns seem to have more depth at that position than Denver does. Without Carmelo's production in the post, Denver has been shooting a lot of jumpers recently, matter of fact too many jumpers. Phoenix will have the edge in the paint for sure, and with that comes a better field goal percentage for this matchup. I give the edge in this one to the Suns catching points
