Schaap - Do some more research before you start throwing statements around. You are absolutely right about BetUS - they are terrible. BUT JM does NOT get a % of what players LOSE. Think about how stupid that statement is. JM simply gets a % based on the amount you deposit if you tell them he sent you there. Just like any other site. It has nothing to do with what you lose. BetUS obviously knows about the system and they change the lines on you! That is a fact.

I agree that the Greek is a great choice. The points are a LOT more expensive but you'll get the best lines.

I MUST chime in here. When you become an affiliate for a sports book you have the option to be paid in a number of different ways. I do NOT know what the agreement between BetUS and JM is, but it could be an agreement that says that JM gets a percentage of what the person he referred to BetUS LOSES. That is a VERY VERY common way affiliates get paid by sports books.

It is complete B.S. for anyone to refer someone to a sports book and then profit because a guy loses...but check out affiliate agreements with almost all of the sports books and you will see that is EXACTLY one of the options.

You can also be paid a certain percentage of what a person deposits and that percentage is almost ALWAYS less than what you would get paid if you chose the option to get a percentage of what the guy loses.

That part of the affiliate issue is a complete SCAM and should be stopped. A company that is giving out picks and then getting paid for what a guy LOSES would seem to have a big conflict of interest.....don't ya think? But it happens EVERY day with almost all of the sports books.

This is why you see almost every pick service referring customers to the different sports books and then not seeming to give a flying frick if they pick winners or not! Why should they....they get a bigger percentage from a sports book for the guy LOSING money.

DevilDog / Schaap - I am speaking first hand and telling you that that is not the agreement between JM and betUS. Believe me he gets PLENTY from the site... there is no doubt about that. He gets all kinds of kickbacks based on deposits / redeposits and referrals over time, etc. etc. However, he does not get a % of what his people LOSE. That very well may be an 'option' but I repeat it is not the case with JM.

schaap - don't take what I said to heart - I didn't mean it as an attack by any means. I was simply saying that I know that he doesn't have that agreement.

As you know I did NOT say JM gets money from his clients losing. But I did say that method is a popular one with affiliates of these sports books.

Are you sure about this?

Generally speaking, say I signed up with a bookie and they had a referrel bonus, if I gave your name to be given the bonus you get the bonus after I have played a certain amount of money. So it doesn't matter about win/loss its about how much is played.

Therefore you woulnd't care if I won or lost, you would make your money when I spent enough at the site, so logically you would want to give me winners as if you gave a bunch of loosers I may leave the site altogether.

Maybe bookies operate different in the US, the example I'm given is how its mostly done in Europe.
