This will be the opening post for the NBA with yours truly.

I am gong to provide picks that will be graded equally. In other words, I am not releasing * graded plays, BUT each play you make, if tailing me, should be the same amount for the entire season, if you need advice on what to wager based on your bankroll, just ask.

Thanks for the kudos and I apologize for not providing plays over the past several days. I have had direct impact hit family of mine in the Sandy aftermath and have been in areas without electricty let alone internet connection. There is really something rewarding in volunteering to help others that are total strangers. Incredible how people do come together in the worst of times. I used to live two blocks from the Twin Towers 12 years ago and this Sandy aftermath has brought that back to light.. Not in a bad way, but as I have learned, it is not what you accomplish but what you overcome. I will provide picks each day, now that things have gotten back to a bit of normalcy.

rookie question here, what does the "1/2 -110" mean after the bet, I understand the "Over Team 1/ Team 2 197" means that the total score of the 2 teams is over 197. Cheers

I know exactly what you mean John, I live outside of Tuscaloosa, Al and when we got hammerd by a EF4 Tornado on April 27th, 2011(a day I will never forget), it was amazing how many people from other places come to help and would give the shirt off there back for you. 5* graded play on Portland as they take on the Clippers in NBA action set to start at 10:30 PM ET. The simulator shows a high probability that Portland will win this game. Portland is doing a great job with ball handling in the start to the NBA season. They rank fifth averaging just 13.2 turnovers per game. Clippers have not done well against these types of strong ball handling teams. They are just 12-27 ATS (-17.7 Units) in road games versus good ball handling teams committing 14 or fewer turnovers per game over the last three seasons. The Clippers have not done a good job protecting the ball and rank 27th in the NBA averaging 18.0 turnovers per game and 27th having a turnover 16.6% of all ball possessions. Clips defense is doing a good job forcing opponents into turnovers ranking second in the NBA at 18.2 turnovers per game. Portland’s ball handlers and play makers can minimize the Clippers defensive pressure in this matchup. I like Portland to win this game.

Waiting three hours to correct a mistake like that means some people are going to place the bet as written. Not to mention, your original write-up talked about Portland winning the game (with the spread at pk at 5 Dimes) and then your correction has them at +2.

None of it mattered-- this time-- because Portland lost by 13.
