I dunno. If you had taken note of which new chassis ran well off the truck and which didnt I think we could have picked up quite a few H2H bets and top 10s over the last 3 races. Not to mention 2 of the winners.

It's only logical that new iterations of chassis design might be better, particularly at the first track they are chosen to run on.

I have never suggested chassis selection should be a crystal ball at predicting the winner, but it's a useful metric for helping to spot good and bad value prices.

Some people like taking note of proven race chassis'. This is just similar. And sometines it can be as useful in helping ID a donkey as it is a winner. New chassis = unknown variable, which = something the books probably don't handicap for pre-race, which = opportunity to snipe a smokey.
