2011 Picks Game Regular Season Pool

Same as last year, we will have a weekly Head 2 Head Picks Game for each race. (in a separate thread each week)

2 points from each entry will go toward this regular season pool. This should create a prize pool of about 600 points over the regular season.

This thread will be to keep a tally of the leaderboard week to week only.

After 26 races each player will drop their worst 3 results to determine their final score.

Number of correct race winners will be the tie breaker. Split points after that.

1st Place: 60% (approx 360 points)
2nd Place: 20% (120 pts)
Most Race Winners: 20%

For Most Race Winners all 26 races will be counted, and points will be the tie breaker.

You can post up as little or as much as you like. After race 4 I will post a list of who is eligible for what sidepot. (and refund any un-matched portion of the highest bet if needed)

Ok you got me all confused. So are we going to be doing the same thing as last year? With the 15 point post up and pick out of your posted driver match ups every race? Winner takes all?

I think I am a lot worse at explaining things than I thought.

Basically, exactly the same game as last year. With modifications to allow non-pros to play too.

If you are a Pro. Entry is 22 points. 20 points of that goes into the weekly game pool, and winner takes all. The other 2 points goes toward this season long pool. (which is just like the chase pool we had last year)

Side Bet. This is just the same as our chase pool entry fee last year. I called it a "side bet" as it's optional... everyone who plays will be eligible to win the 2 point pool... the side bet is just a pool for people that want to throw in for a second larger prize pool. Think of it like the 100 point entry for the chase one. But it's purely optional. (and you have up until race 4 to decide)


I won't explain the non-pro rules again unless you want me too. (as I will put up the Daytona game thread today or tomorrow and it will be covered there)

I've made an executive decision to run this pool for the entire season rather than ending it before the chase then trying to setup a new one for the last 10 races.

Nothing else changes. The worst 3 results will still be dropped.
