#676Pretty straightforward race, they need to do a better job of DRS next year.Comment -

#677Dont think DRS is the solution for passing here. Wings are too tiny to start with for it to ever make enough difference.
I was surprised just how little of it there was though.
Maybe extra KERS allocation n that section would work if they have enough charge for that..Comment -

#678every race ive watched has been a snoozer..leader just never gets challenges for racing
qualifying might as well be the actual race most of time, at least up front
but im seeing a very small sample size also so could be totally mistaken hereComment -

#679Yeah, you'd have to be a purist to get inspired by that one.
The next race in Singapore in 2 weeks is a high downforce setup track which should bring the red bulls back to the field..Comment -

#680I still have to say there is something special about just watching F1 cars go around Monza though. I can't even tell you what it is exactly. Partly that it's so tough to make a perfect lap on and the history of the place come into it. But for me the cars always look the most exciting going hard there compared to almost any other track. Suzuka is similar too..Comment -

#681i could not believe i left the TV on after the race when the top 3 were on the podium and that crowd was just going crazy...ferrari banners and flags, people just going nutz for nothing at all!
was pretty cool to see just how passionate the F1 fans are about their sport...gotta love the intensity of it allComment -

#682The Italians are a little bit extra nuts than everyone else. But your right, that mad 'Tifosi' crowd (Ferrari fans) is probably another big part of what makes Monza special, passing or not.

For example the DRS zone on the front straight, they were only allowed to use it from the S/F line, which isnt enough time to get the move down. If they were allowed to activate from pretty much the exit of Parabolica, then there would have been heaps of passing.
Not sure how exciting that would be though...Comment -

There will never be a heap of passing though, it is just not that kind of racing. Especially when you are used to a very different type of motorsport.
As Opti said, Monza is really special for a lot of fans. Personally, there could have been zero passing moves in that race and I still would have been very happy just watching them lap around Monza. F1 can be more a test of man/machine vs track than actual 'racing' and Monza is an example of that I think.Comment -

#688Yeah, will throw some extra interest into next year for sure.
As 'calm' as Fred has been since joining the red team, he sure reverted back to the old toys outa the pram type act quickly. His head will explode if Kimi beats him in Australia..Comment -

#692I do like the Lewis win +410 the best though.
Thinking I might sink the last of my betfair balance into that and hope he poles it so i can sell out straight after quali.
probably 'hedge' that with a Vettel pole and be a good chance of cashing both actually, if I had more funds..Comment -

#697Liking the way Hamilton and Webber keep swapping the top time in this P1 session. Looks like they are both improving with the track at about the same rate.
Lewis looking like he may have some chance as hoped..Comment -
