Anyside playing Mid Canterbury at home have a hard time especially a side like east coast who having a terrible away record (as do most teams struggle playing away in the meads cup), but this mid canterbury side have been playing almost flawless rugby losing by one point to last years premiers in the season opener (away) and winning their other 2 games.. If you honestly think east coast have a chance you'd have to be nuts.

Agree.. thanks.. Do you have a play on the Wellington/Waikato game? I cant see Waikato competing the way they've played this year. Lions also look great so far only losing to Canterbury, even in that game Wellington looked good with the ball in hand just Canterbury were too quick to the breakdown and got too many turnovers...

I dont use overseas books anymore and NZ TAB doesn't offer totals so I'm more thinking to work out sides/margins. Thinking Canterbury should be able to take it by at least a try with Barret missing. Just can never be sure when the shields on the line..

Guys this has to be the best two teams in the comp right now fighting it out for what some would call the most important prize in nz rugby. Both sides are extremely talented both defensively and offensively, but you will rarely ever see such quality teams push for the over, like someone mentioned this will be a grind-it out game with very few tries. Yeah, wellington have been playing brilliant lately and losing to christchurch 20-12 in Chch is amazing for any team (not to mention, they looked like they had a shot at winning it). Waikato are in need of a desperate win and if they dont get some early points on the board wellington should run away with this.
