Wollongong to win it $15 1.5u

Looks fairly likely that Wollongong will finish 4th and play NZ in the first round. Lots of stuff could happen but Cairns look like they need to win Woll away and Townsville and Perth home to make it ahead of Woll which seems unlikely.

Both Perth and Townsville have the split on Woll so the only way they get better than 4th is if Townsville lose all 3 of their remaining games as I see it, which looks unlikely.

The way NZ are playing Woll should be close to favourite in a series against them. They went 2-2 over the season and the way NZ are playing defence anyone is a chance against them, say even the next to bottom team missing their best two players. How many times have you seen players go coast to coast down the middle of the floor when the defence is set but still not get within metres of the player? Penney may be close to the best offensive player in the league but he is also close to the worst defensive player.

After a hideous run Woll have won four in a row by double digits, including wins over 1st and 3rd. NZ look terrible and drag the ball and chain of a clueless coach who supercoach mcleod should be able to abuse.

I took NZ to win it $7 at the start of the season so is partly hedging this but I think it represents alot of value also

Any thoughts on the Tigers @ 36ers game tonight?

Both have been playing like crap IMO. Tigers on a fairly long losing streak, but play well at home normally. Tigers on the other hand have been bad on the road but defeated the 36ers the last 3 match ups.

Two below par teams, could go either way if you ask me...

These NBL games always feel a bit like picking red and black on roulette. I'm on the same plays as you Gambler777, Adelaide+12 and the Under 171.5. Adelaide have been competitive of late and are coming off beating a quality team, Cairns on their homecourt. Breakers have been in inconsistent and poor form of late, but at home they could easily break out and win by 30. In the previous 3 head-to-head games, two of them went under and Adelaide generally has a slower pace and more defensive game. The concern here is that there will be little D played as both teams have little motivation to treat the game too seriously.

Well the under is already done if this continues, these guys are running the ball up and down the court like madmen, if they hold the ball for more than 5 seconds without shooting it's a shock.

How poor is the quality of this league too, the local basketball comp in Oz is going to die.
