Why I am going big on West Coast:

Melbourne have no good talls down back, WCE have JJK, Darling, Cox, NicNat, LeCras and Sinclair roaming.
WCE pressure up with 2012 KPIs – e.g. 38 intercepts in the midfield area (20 in the attacking midfield), went inside forward 50 on 70% of these occasions for a result of 6.2 on Sunday. In total they kicked 14 goals from turnovers Sunday night – the most of any team in rd 1.
Melbourne's high possession, chip chip chip game plan will come unstuck against any half decent team, you can see what Roos is trying to implement, if we have the ball, the opposition cannot score. He is going back to basics, which is fair enough, but they still lost to the weakest midfield going around by 3 goals. St Kilda were missing Hayes, Dal Santo (traded I know, but still), Montagna and Steven. Don't be fooled, Melbourne lost to this midfield...


Only thing going for Melbourne is West Coast's poor record at the MCG. West Coast's last few wins there have been against Melbourne however.

Hi Bic I agree with your plays just wondering where you got these lines? My books opened WC -41.5 and the best I have seen for PA is -5.5 will prob be on WC regardless but -36.5 is a lot more enticing. cheers

Hi there Teamsports,

I got these lines from Sportsbet (sportsbet.com.au), they open their lines quite early on Monday, and the majority of the time they are quite different to the rest of the market. Catch is, all their early lines are priced at $1.85.

I still like the Eagles at 41.5, but wouldn't be putting 10 units at that line.

Port Adelaide at -5.5 is still great. I honestly think the line should be closer to 10-12.

Thanks for info Bic, prob play eagles for 1 or 2 units I do like them to be far superior to melbourne, the showdown should be a ripper of a game.
