Really tough race with most of the field having many chances to break their maiden but failed to do so.I'll look toward the few that have not raced as much in 12-Ballerino(12-1) and 11-Solo Rock(12-1).The 12 has only made one start on turf and it was promising enough to think his second try will be much better.Add the fact he is getting lasix for the first time and he looks even better.The trainer of the 11 is one of the best turf trainers in the US and he has this one making his turf debut with Rock Hard Ten as the sire I can only think he will like it much better than the 2 surfaces he has already ran on.Of the horses that have run a lot I prefer 4-Captain Fantastic(15-1) in the hope that he will be toward the front of this bulky field and get a very good trip.

Is a maiden 50 that has a lot of unknowns but you can bet that the Ward and Pletcher runners are going to take most of the action.Hoping to find an overlay because those two take all the money I landed on 3-Desire To Acquire(6-1) and 6-El Oh El(8-1) but given all the unknowns I think it is best to put your eggs in one basket.As I stated yesterday Wildcat Heir is my favorite sire when it comes to first time starters that are sprinting.The 3 also has good connections with Trujillo being Jane Cibelli's go to rider whenever possible.I take it as a big positive that she brings this one to GP instead of just running at her Tampa Bay base.

Is the 3rd straight maiden race to begin the card , a MSW at a mile.The distance means you can usually throw out all the firsters given the field is half decent.The 4-Fanfare(2-1) ran 2nd to a very good filly Liberty Girl who is thinking Kentucky Oaks .That was Fanfare's only race on dirt and cutting back to a mile makes this one look really tough.If there is a value horse it may be 6-Taylor Street(6-1) who stretches out for the first time for I Wilkes and he has started the year on a roll.Not too sure this race is playable vertically because in the end I think the chalk rolls in this one.If playing horizontals I'd lean heavily on the 4 with the 6 as a C or a weak B.

This one looks very hard to get a grasp on because all 9 of the runners have a race within their last several that make them competitive.So simple logic would say go with the longest odds who steer me toward 1-The Best Glacier(15-1) .His last couple dirt races would smoke this field.The trouble is he has been on turf 6 starts since then.That could be a bright spot dirtying his form if you consider he has 25 turf races with 2 wins and 4 seconds but on dirt at this distance he only has 10 starts with 4 wins and 3 seconds.

Loved the 4 in the first. One of my favorite angles. 2nd time back off a layoff and stretching out. Looking at the 6 & 9 in the fifth stretching out also and both are good prices.

That's a tough race.I do think you should play against the favorite Pletcher 3-Tapulous but there are 5 or 6 horses to do it with.

8-OTB Bob(4-1)- His pace figures look really really good /Negative - Had plenty of chances and might be a hanger.
1-Saint Vigeur(6-1)-2nd best dirt Pace figure/Negative - why the layoff?
2-Dyker Beach(6-1)-Co-best dirt speed figure/Negative-Zito always gets big jump ups 1st sprint to route
5-Wabbajack(5-1)-Co-best dirt speed figure/Negative-Can't find one maybe that Toner has been cold at GP
7-War Dancer(6-1)-Best speed and pace figure/Negative-Was on turf where his sire War Front excels might not take to dirt
9-Freedom Child(8-1)-Ran 2nd between two Kentucky Derby favorites(Orb and Revolutionary) last race/Negative-Why the layoff?



Good Luck trying to separate these.If I had to bet I guess I would go with 1-Saint Vigeur adding blinkers which might let him take advantage of his rail draw.C Brown is very good with layoff horses.
