mine 30-1 (finished 4th)





if you're trying to take advantage of she's more likely to come 3rd or 4th then a 10 cent super costs $1.20 each spot and paid an outrageous $41 ..possible you just could've went for 4th ( which is not ridiculous with this odds scenario ) making the roi even higher

not 2nd guessing here ..just pointing out something that's realistic and you might consider doing if you were playing in real time

if your doing 3rd and 4th it's not unrealistic to play the latter super twice .. certainly more likely to be 4th than 3rd statistically

seemed to good to be true .. keying 4 horses in a super makes 24 combos and not 12..so $41 for every $2.40..sorry

My dad use to say, guys that play gimmicks , sleep in the park.

didn't mean that b o a ..nothing wrong with a 16-1 return

think one of the big lessons here is if you bury the ego aspect of winning ..having to show your $38.60 winner to everyone..more times than not he's finishing 3rd or 4th..that's good capping to get that happening more than it should and then structuring tickets around that..if you don't cash those 3rd and 4ths you're missing more opportunities than hitting that occasional one that does win ..plus my casual experience with this is these triples and supers often (not always of course) pay more than they should ..large majority of the time focusing on the top 3-5 horses to fill the 1st ,2nd and 3rd (supers) ..think it might be an edge for as a said ,players are more concerned with ego vs what might actually make them money..when that $38 horse does win ,you don't have it but feel good that you had the right idea and many more times than not you'll have a triple or super that most won't because of ego or/and just not thinking about the strategy in the first place

never applied it officially over time but I do believe in the approach ..speaking about it for the casual player to possibly make some of those hits they may otherwise leave on the table by doing it the traditional, obvious shoot for the win with bombs way

My favorite bets were $20 Quinella Boxe on the turf at Arlington, $1 Tri Key 1/23456 at Hawthorne and $20Win $60PLace anywhere on the One or Two days on the weekend I played live.

Intra-Race only. Morphed into DD & P3s. Mostly avoid P4's and P6's. Inter-Races.

I've morphed back /down to mostly WP, EXBX and inter racing DD and P3's.

basis of my bet is getting the price horse in 3rd or 4th so I only have him to key him underneath ..going to miss a lot more but will also save bank along the way with fewer combos ..can be frustrating when the key happens and top 2 or 3 spots don't but that's all part of it

thanks jelly ..saw you liked yo banana boy and being betty also..was amazed on the fox broadcast that kinchen didn't like the latter (one of the reasons) because she'd be
far back early ..I was expecting her to run close-up (as she did) like the time she just missed doing this in her 2nd start..understand not showing speed in her last 2 routes was his reason for thinking this

grew up < 10 miles away from aqu and bel..moved away a couple of years before I had any interest in it..folks only mild fans but they were at bel for secretariat

This was B4 my time too, I took interest in '76.
