good name for a horse reclaimed 4 starts later..he takes the blinkers back off (they didnt seem to help last 2) and the way she ran without them when in his care would make her competitive here..it's 10k lower than the claimed price but purses are so high here feel that makes up for it ..trainer is an awful investment overall (terrible roi decent sample) but like whats going on with the horse

feel there's always a better chance it's a good horse also as he (rod) was one of the best tennis players in the 60's..he finished 2nd in his debut two back at ellis going 2 turns on the turf..he also was bumped at the start in that race..ran midpack in a $500k stakes at kentucky downs last start ..very tough assignment..gets on the dirt here but pedigree goes either way..unlike R2 this is one of the best value trainers there is ..saez gets on for the first time

as much as I like to see the army mule's win I don't like betting horses who just missed with a not-so-great trip in msw races..I'd rather have a well bred fts or a horse that showed a little more sublte talent like speed or running evenly in a fast race (combined with the pedigree and/or decent trainer stats)..kind of a cat's out of the bag mentality for me when maidens run well in their previous race

I agree but todd as you know is one of the best and has that kind of stock to accomplish this kind of task..I think with the name,bc undercard and the fact it's a Repole horse they're pointing for a big effort..we will see ..bol to you also mrgnt

Totally agree MR G&T, he will get my money. Has a trip over the surface and I am a believer in the improvement from FTS to second start. I hope the BB horse takes a ton of action and he floats up.

comes here off an 8.5 length defeat in the "arc de triomphe" which most consider to be the greatest turf race in the world..finished a similiar 9.75 lengths back in that race last year to come over here and miss by a half length in this same race..irad rode him that time also ..came to saratoga this past meet off a medioce effort in a grade 1 turf race at ascot and finished 4th by < 2 lengths (ascot race was also at 12f and 5 weeks apart) in the 12f sword dancer..seems to run well off a medocre effort in europe and shipping over here to run back in 5 weeks..that's the amount of time between the arc and this race

not only won his 1st 2 starts but did it with huge figures..ky derby a little much to ask in career start 3 and was fairly close to the wicked pace..just missed in the haskell off the short layoff and followed that up with a big figure win the pa derby..like the fact he's fresh ,hits big figures and the final piece for me is he cost $1.7M..this is the type of horse that's supposed to do great things..probably not going to win ..understand that
