nice pick mgnt..just curious what the drf said in "a closer look" if you still have access to it..in brisnet they have the dam 5 winners from as many starters including 1 stakes winner..3 of them turf winners .. the sire "sidney's candy" above avg on turf..all in all pretty impressive stats...you don't hear about phil gleaves very often although he's been around for quite a while and he actually bred this horse..definitely helped the price as obscure trainers always do..too bad you didn't have him on top for the record

#7 KING CAYMUS (12/1) was 9/1 in his debut last summer at Del Mar, but he acted the fool in the paddock, and when the gates swung open, he took his time getting into gear. By then, the 5-furlong turf sprint was over. He’s been off since then, but he returns a new gelding, so he could be a different animal today if he’s well behaved (since his come-home time in that debut was pretty solid, suggesting he has a little run in him).
