10 years old.. 81-18-20-13.. old warrior has earned $225k last 2 years so very productive in his later years.. claimed for $25k 4 starts back and has run last 3 vs much better.. this where he belongs and its only slightly below what he was claimed for.. winners share close to $26k and nothing wrong with that.. should be nicely legged up off the dirt marathon last out

ON GT Sonia some valid points. But she did run those decent runs on good/sloppy tracks. Dry track today. I went with the #6 Party in the Sand (Belmont R3)with Rosario in the irons. Like the progression last race and best speed figure in the field by far except for 1 other horse. . 4/1ML GL.Comment -
I always equate good tracks with fast rather than what the pp's do..to me the 2 sprints with blinkers on being as good as they were was enough for me..if the good track race was sloppy or muddy that would have put me off herComment -

broberg 2nd off the claim and 2nd off a 50 day layoff (back in 24)..drops below the claim but his prior races much better than these... think the conditioning vs allowance horses will have him in shape.. possible he's hurting but a win in addition to being claimed puts them in the black.. not claimed they earn 6kComment -

makes his 3rd career start off a 14 length maiden breaker at del mar.. important to note it was at a mile and on the front end of a very fast pace (nobody else here done that) baffert's #3 cost $520k and that's explainable by the pedigree.. this one cost $500k and shouldn't based on the specs which of course I like better.. sheriffs' outstanding numbers with maiden repeaters and 2yo's.. should be lower odds

she obviously shipped here thinking grass though.. ran big on the dirt in his latest and other efforts are solid..i noticed in his last 2 turf races at lrl on 5/3 was on the front end of a very fast pace (BRIS figs) and lost by a half length.. the race after on 6/1 he had a double bug aboard and appears he may have been rated into submission.. you can see how much slower the splits were at the same distance even though as we know same surface different, day can be more or less glib.. I don't think this horse is overmatched on either surface and of course respect her judgment to bring him here
also it's possible that only reason this horse is eligible is because of being up for a $40k tag in his last race.. can only see 10 back and he's raced 14 times to the beginning of 2018.. none of the other viewable races allow him to run here I believeComment -
