Many thanks for your comments . It is I who am honored to be able to post here and not have to worry about all the drama like other boards. Others get more 'recognition' for their selections which is fine as I'm not into that. I'm here to post my day's action, make some money and if possible help others do the same. One thing I did make mention early when I first arrived here is that the N.H.L. is a money maker for my family, friends and self (M.L.B. is another but that's for another time). Good luck with your action the remainder of the season.

No question is "dumb" unless it's the one not asked. This was answered in a previous post but I'll explain it again.

The number is what the books have it (rotation number). The only thing it's good for "here" is if I play a team on back to back nights and they win "one" of the games. it makes grading the action much easier. Team is listed next followed by risked money then reward money if correct separated by a "slash" (/). Hope that helps and good luck with your action the remainder of the season. Game is starting, time to go.

A buddy of mine from CA called while at the track earlier today and said most likely- that's good enough for me. Best of luck with your action tonight.

I rarely post because honestly I have nothing to add, but I just wanted to pop in to let you know someone out there checks this thread regularly, (mostly to see if you are on or against any of my plays before I put them in), and your picks are appreciated. Congrats on a great 2008 and hope the winning ways continue in 2009.

Sorry, the selection process is not discussed but will tell you it has at least three major parts (team selection, amount of wager, type of wager, etc) and in each section their is a series of pluses and minuses used. If a team grades out at a certain level, it tells me yes/no, type and amount of wager for each game.

Good luck the rest of the season with your action.

                                                        Good morning MisterGrimm,

No reason to be sorry for asking a question. Somethings can be revealed, others not. As for your particular question, here is your answer: Prior to the season I changed a couple conditions/factors/terms in the process after back testing seven consecutive NHL seasons. Five of those seasons provided an increase while one lost and the other was within one unit ($100). Record wise overall I'm still under 50% which doesn't bother or concern me as I place more emphasis on cash/money. Every season I set goals in terms of what win rate I want to reach along with an amount of cash/money/units, so far things are ahead of schedule do mostly to what happened in December (about three times the other months profits/returns). I have enough checks and balances in place to insure things will not spiral out of control if/when things start to go poorly. Flat bettors do not like my selections as they fall under the break even point but those would follow the thread and put the same ratio of their units on games as I do will profit. Hope this explanation clears things up for you.

Thank you and good luck with your action the rest of the season.

Tough break in the bowl game yesterday. I was hoping OSU would have knocked off TX so they couldn't make a claim about getting the AP #1 ranking. At the end of each night my favorite teams, greyhounds, t'breds were the ones who generated me a positive cash flow. Tonight from the N.H.L., they were DET and PIT. I was taught that one can not have a favorite team when it comes to wagering as it clouds your judgments of them.
