4.11.12 [Game 1] Predators G Pekka Rinne Total Saves Over 27 [-115] Red Wings remain one of the best volume shooting teams in the league, averaging 32 shots per game. In six regular season meetings, Detroit's low total was 22 shots and in five of the meetings they put 31 shots or better on goal. Nashville gives up about 31 shots per game and gave up 32 or more shots in three of their final five regular season games. Rinne made 31, 35, 29, 37 and 33 saves against Detroit this season.

4.12.12: [Game 1] Senators G Craig Anderson Total Saves Over 26 [-115] Ottawa gives up an average of 32 shots on goal per game. In eight of their last nine down the stretch, they allowed opponents to put at least 30 shots on goal. The Rangers average a shade over 28 shots per game, but pumped plenty of shots on goal in their final games of the season. NY put 30 or more shots on goal in six of their last ten and at least 27 shots in nine of ten. Anderson has made at least 26 saves in 13 of his last 15 starts. In two games @ MSG this season, he faced 28 & 34 shots from the Rangers.

4.13.12: Red Wings F Henrik Zetterberg Total Shots Over 3.5 [-110] Zetterberg was the victim of the cheap shot at the end of Game 1 and that could just light further fire under him. He squeezed off five shots in Game 1 and has now put at least four shots on goal in six of the seven games the two sides have played this season. He has ripped off at least five shots on goal in four of his last six overall.

4.15.12: PENGUINS TEAM TOTAL OVER 3 [-120] Pens have scored at least three goals in 16 of their last 17. They have met this total in five of the seven meetings with the Flyers. It seems apparent that they will have to score plenty to have a chance to win with the way the Flyers are eating up Fleury and the defense.

Back on track. F-ing Pens are toast. Fleury and the D BUH-low.
4.15.12: Kings G Jonathan Quick Total Saves Over 27 [-115] Quick made an impressive 46 stops on 48 shots in Game 1. In four of six starts against the Canucks this season, Quick has made at least 27 saves. Vancouver has put up at least 32 shots now in seven of their last ten games overall. The Kings usually only give up an average of 27 shots per game. Canucks have gotten plenty of time on the PP in the first two games of the series and I would expect they will continue to pump shots on goal between that and pressing to get a lead at home.

4.16.12: Senators D Erik Karlsson Total Shots On Goal Over 3 [-115] Ottawa figured out how to get their best defenseman involved offensively in Game 2. Not coincidently, he ripped off TEN shots on goal and scored and assisted on another goal. He has at least three shots on goal in both games in this series and in eight of his last ten overall. Ottawa seemed to find something that worked in getting him more involved in the offense and it's a must for them to be competitive in this series.

4.17.12: Coyotes G Mike Smith Total Saves Over 30 [-115] Bet is void if Smith does not start, so that covers any injury questions. Fully expect him to play. The # of shots Chicago is putting on goal this series is staggering. 95 shots total, 79 in regulation. It just continues the trend against Phoenix as the Coyotes allow 32 shots per game while the Blackhawks average 32 shots per game. Over their last ten though, Phoenix has given up some monster totals with 40 shots or more in five of those and 32 or more in eight of ten. I don't expect Chicago to change too much up as they work at home now. They have pumped 35 or more shots on goal in five of the six meetings this season.

They are going to continue to throw the kitchen sink at Quick and see if they can score with volume shooting.

4.19.12: [Game 4] DEVILS-PANTHERS OVER 5 [-110] Six of the seven meetings this season have now featured at least five goals. Each game of this series has seen five goals with the last two finishing at six each. Florida's PP has plenty to do with this as the Panthers have six PP goals in this series and multiple PP goals in the last two games. The Devils have also struck on the PP twice in this series. Clemmensen takes over in net for Florida after Theodore was yanked in Game 3. Brodeur was also pulled from Game 3, leaving Hedberg in to give up the game winner.
Coyotes G Mike Smith Total Saves Over 30 [-115] Smith needed OT in Game 3 to get past 30 saves, but the shots are still there against him. Chicago put 31 shots on goal in regulation with Smith stopping 29. Chicago has now thrown 132 shots on goal in the 1st three games of this series. Being down 2-1, I expect they will once again throw plenty of pucks Smith's way. Smith has now made at least 30 saves in 13 of his last 16 starts.

Damn it. I was hoping they would count one of those pushes at the net as a shot on goal for Chicago and then the fukks give up a goal so can't even get the one shot to get off the push. 30 saves. Couldn't get a 5th goal in the other game. Blah.

This may wind up being wasted money, but the price will be cut in half likely if the Pens win tonight and my own opinion is that the last game may have changed the face of this series even though it's 3-1.

4.20.12: Predators G Pekka Rinne Total Saves Over 28.5 [-115] Red Wings are all-in here to try and preserve their season. They've been throwing any and every pick Rinne's way for the majority of this series. 84 shots on goal in the last two games. 37 in Game 1. Only Game 2 where they won did they throw up less than 30 shots. It's been their M.O. against Nashville all season and trailing 3-1, I expect them to shoot plenty tonight.

Record: 63-46-1 [+11.83] 4.21.12: BRUINS-CAPITALS OVER 5 [-120] Boston has shuffled their lines in an effort to generate more goals. Backstrom is back for the Caps. I think the lid comes off for a game today with some goals. Boston has been peppering Holtby with shots and he has stood up mostly, but the pressure will continue. Boston also has the added pressure here of not wanting to go down 3-2 although they mastered the rally during last year's Cup run.

4.21.12: Rangers C Brad Richards Total Shots On Goal Over 3 [-105] Richards has had two massive games as far as the number of shots taken with six in Game 1 and eight in Game 4. Only Game 3 saw him take less than three shots. During the regular season meetings, Richards took 4, 4, 1 & 3 shots against the Senators. It sounds like Richards will be paired with Callahan and Dubinsky at least to start as the Rangers search for more offense.

Looks like the pot shot on the Pens series price is going to go down the drain today. Was still worth a roll for half a unit @ +370 after Game 4. Hoping the Caps can cash the series bet today.
4.22.12: Capitals W Alexander Ovechkin Total Shots On Goal Over 4 [-125] Despite the limited ice time, Ovechkin has met this total in three straight games in this series and passed it in two of the last three. If you look at this #s against Boston the last two seasons, he seems to enjoy firing shots on their goal tenders. With the chance to put the series away today, I don't see why he won't come out firing again and seems to be making the most of his ice time by taking plenty of shots.

4.23.12: Senators G Craig Anderson Total Saves Over 27 [-115] Kitchen Sink Theory. Rangers in an elimination game should be going for broke and peppering Anderson with more shots. They put 41 on goal in Game 5 and Anderson has now made at least 27 saves in four of the five games in this series. Rangers get Carl Hagelin back into the lineup which should add some more pop to their top line.
