Kinda a weird spot for VAN to be favored so heavily on the road I find. PHO is 15-5 at home and have won 9 straight there so I expected them to be slight favorites tonight. It almost seems like the bookies are trying to trap everyone and make them bet on PHO. With that being said I like the Canucks tonight. PHO played last night in San Jose and should be a bit tired tonight. Add to that fact that Labarbara will be in net for the Coyotes tonight. He isn't bad but he's no hero like Bryzgalov. The Canucks have been playing lights out lately and are really on a tear. I look for them to end the Coyotes home winning streak at 9 tonight.Comment -

Nashville has won the last 4 meetings and is 3-0 vs the Jackets this season. Columbus continues to struggle as they averaging a measly 1.4 goals per game over their last 10. Nashville is starting to prove they are no fluke and are for real.

Very surprised this one is not a 5 total. Both are very defensive minded teams and have a combined 47-26 record for the under. The Devils are 12-4-1 for the under on the road this season and the Hawks are 13-9 for the under at home this season. Looks to be Brodeur and Huet between the pipes so both teams should get some solid goaltending tonight. The under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings and 7-0 in the last 7 meetings in Chicago.

I am shocked New Jersey isn't getting more respect on the road. They are 13-3-1 on the road this season and a crazy stat I found is playing on no rest they are 8-0 this season. The Devils are 10-1-1 in the last 12 meetings vs the Hawks, so with these stats, Brodeur in net and these solid odds I am taking a shot on the Devils.

Will make a play or two for the early games so far this is what I have on the slate for today.

A lot of juice and usually I won't make ML plays on heavy road faves but I really can't see the Pens losing this one. They have lost 3 straight overall and have had success vs the Lightning lately. The Pens have won 4 straight meetings, 7 of the last 10 overall and 4 straight meetings in Tampa. Good teams find a way to win and rarely go on extended slumps so I see the Pens grinding out a road win today.Comment -
