you are right that Penguins have a tendency to go on runs, good ones and bad ones. i watched pretty much every Penguins game last season and this was definately happening.
the only thing is that last year the players were having a major problem with Therrien and then when Bylsma took over they went on this 18-6 run. I guess it was a kick in the ass.
problem with this is that now they won the Cup so they wont be as determined to win. they might also be wearing out because of the short off season. just look at what happened with detroit. also the organization is not gonna fire the coach that won them the cup over a bad run like this. i can see penguins losing another 2-3 games in a row.

Yeah it's not that I'm chasing on the Pens. I never have or will I ever use a Martingale system on them. The majority of my bets are 1 and 2 unit bets. I guess in a way when a team goes on an extended slump especially a top notch team there is a tendency to keep betting on them. Their past few games I have scouted and felt PIT did have a good edge and didn't think they would lose either game. I might play it safe though and stay away til they get back on track.

Haven't really got into the bigger bets yet I've just been slowly building my bankroll 1 unit at a time. Eventually I think I will start going from 1-5 unit bets though. I just need to find out a good system for what I base my bigger bets on. I guess you could say I'm playing it safe so I don't lose or win too much at a time so this way it's more of a marathon than a sprint. I know I'd be up way more if I bet 3-5 units on each play but right now I only have around a 3k bankroll or so, so I don't want to be betting 20% of my roll on one game that would end badly if I go into a slump. I like to post what I'm betting here in $ amount instead of units just so that way if you tail me we win or lose together, and it's not like I'm just making up fake bets. If I was just betting units and not actual money on these games I don't think my results would be as good, I'd be more likely to chase with big 5-10 unit bets to get back up overall on the year.

I didnt mean you have to chase blindly on any team.

I will use Martingdale system only when i think the team has a good chance to win. I have already lost twice on the Penguins. I will wait until they are out of the slump and find a game where they have a clear edge and then bet 4-5 units to get back the money that i lost on them.

for now i will stick to better teams that win 70-80% of their games. i have made quite a bit if cash betting on Chicago, NJ and Nashville and fading Columbus.

I think I threw up in my mouth a couple times there and my heart sunk into my groin area for those last two minutes. That would have been the worst beat of my life for sure. Thankfully justice prevailed in the end.

Yup damn Stars couldn't muster one goal on Marty pretty sad. Nice I was leaning over in that PHO/EDM game too, just didn't have much time to scout so I was pretty conservative tonight. Looks like I will turn a small profit today at least.
