#1336Looks like you are doing pretty well with the Hockey plays there Dennis. Do you share your picks?
Just followed a few pages of your thread, and didn't really notice if you are posting any plays each day or not. I am impressed with what I see. A very nice record.

#1337Yup I most certainly too. I am the people's champ, no charging for picks or private underground picks emailed to you daily. Just have to scroll through to see my posted plays or just check out my spreadsheet as I post them on there before puck drop.Originally posted by IWinMyBetsLooks like you are doing pretty well with the Hockey plays there Dennis. #1338nice job DG. that was a really intence couple of minutes in Edmonton. i was sure they would score with 2 seconds remaining to ruin our night. it came so close but the goalie saved our ass. that save reminded me of the save Fleury made in game 7 of the cup final to win the cup.
nice night. up 110$.

#1339Yup I stopped watching on TV I couldn't handle the stress and the impending bad beat. I just kept refreshing my cell every 30 seconds and let the time tick away. Just saw the highlight of Huet's save on TV, WOW unreal. Yeah that was a Fleury like save there. #1347ANA/WAS first period over that is an easy play the way the Caps are scoring these days. MTL/TAM one I'd say could go either way, CAL/DAL I'd be cautious as the under is 7-2-1 in the last 10 meetings and Calgary is really struggling to find the back of the net, STL/VAN over I like the game over at 5 better than the 1st. Sorry to be a buzzkill on your playsOriginally posted by zandymanDG, thought I'd run some early 1st pd thoughts past the "zen master" of the 1st....

that's just my thoughts on it but if you did your research and like them by all means play them. I like the DET +0.5 in the 1st as Minny is a pretty bad 1st period team with a -14 goal differential and the Wings should be pissed after last night's choke. CAR/NYR I don't really have a lean in that one. GL whatever you decide on

#1354quick noob question here. What does it mean when the hockey point spread is -0.5 or +0.5? does that mean if i pick -0.5, then the favorite team must win by more then 0.5? and if i pick +0.5, then the underdog must lose by less then 0.5? how does that work cuz isnt a win always more then 0.5????? im confused cuz some places give 0.5 and some say 1.5......thanks in advanceComment -

#1355The US gov't passed some laws about online gambling, specifically online poker a few years back I remember and pretty much flexed their muscles and threatened offshore gambling sites. I'm a big online poker player too and I remember all this. A lot of sites went along with this and banned US players from playing on their sites. I guess some sports books followed suit and didn't wanna fcuk with the US gov't. They couldn't tax this and a lot of their countries money was leaving the US and heading offshore to other countries which they weren't down with. Lucky us in Canada our gov't doesn't give a chit with we do with our moneyOriginally posted by MathewXBHey DG y is Pinny not avalible for Americans? Seems like they are missing out on alot of play! Yeah damn man I would probably have one already if I didn't have my blinders on and was 100% focused on making my picks.Originally posted by MathewXBI am well on my way to a new MacBook that day will make all of this worth it. XB
Spreads of -0.5 or +0.5 are either for 1st period bets or regulation bets. If you bet on say DET -0.5 it means they have to win by a goal in regulation, so if they win in OT you lose. It's good when you bet on a heavy moneyline fave as it gives you better odds. Same with the 1st period bets the team you bet on has to win by a goal in the 1st. -1.5 is known as the puckline and your team must win by two goals. Again this is good if you want to bet a heavy favorite and don't want to lay -200 juice or more. Hope this answers your questionsOriginally posted by krypto9quick noob question here. #1356DG is amazes me how you make a profit almost every night. Props to you dude. Do you have a bank roll which you manage and play around the 5% range of it every night? I have tried everything. I had a $1000 bankroll and bet 3% of it on every bet, hoping the losses would not hurt to much. But I eventually lost it all. I find myself chasing on late games all the time after some tough losses on the early ones. Anyways, enjoy your capping dude. BOL to you.Comment -

#1357The thing is that the place im using says the team must win by more then the spread and it also says that results are based on regulation + OT but excluding SO. So that is why i thought aint that the same bet as the moneyline??? also can you clear up what happens if i pick +0.5? the underdog must lose by less then 0.5? so a tie or a win for the underdog is what i want?Comment -

#1358heres what the rules say:
“Result” means the final outcome of a Sports Action Event listed on the

play, as determined by the governing body for that sport and verified by
BCLC, except in the following circumstances:
(i) In hockey, except playoff hockey, the outcome at the end of play

#1360Thanks man. I pride myself on consistently turning a profit, that's why I usually stick to 1-2 unit bets on everything as I know long term I will come out on top more often than not each night. I will play up to 10% of my bankroll each night, preferably under 5% though. It's tough to not chase when you're down. I myself often will do this, it's my one biggest weaknesses. I hate losing and have trouble accepting a losing night but I've been lucky to not have many losing night lately. I tend to stick to an odd number plays each night like 1,3,5 plays etc. I find if you play 2 or 4 plays you will go 1-1 or 2-2 and lose juice. So my goal each night is to go 2-1, 3-2 etc at least and then I know I'll have some profit.Originally posted by StokesChargersDG is amazes me how you make a profit almost every night. #1361Oh you're doing sportsaction. If the game goes to a shootout it counts for a tie on there. So if your team wins in OT or regulation you win the bet, if they win in a shootout you lose.Originally posted by krypto9heres what the rules say: “Result” means the final outcome of a Sports Action Event listed on the Menu that constitutes a home win, a visitor win or a tie, including extra play, as determined by the governing body for that sport and verified by BCLC, except in the following circumstances: (i) In hockey, except playoff hockey, the outcome at the end of play including overtime but excluding shootouts;Comment -

#1364Nah you have to pick a tie for any games that go to shootouts. It's tough to predict but great odds if you hit a tie or two. Yeah sports action is pretty tough to win it favors the house big time. I'd definitely recommend Pinnacle. It has by far the best odds on everything 99% of the games. #1365ANA vs WAS Over 1.5 (1st) (-137) Pinnacle $137 to win $100
The 1st period over is 9-1 in the Caps last 10 games. They continue to be the top scoring 1st period team in the league and show no signs of slowing up. The Ducks are a respectable 16th in 1st period goals. With Neuvirth confirmed for WAS if by any chance your book has a prop bet on Neuvirth -1.5 weak goals allowed pound this line.
Neuvirth has not been good this year and it looks like Giguere will be in for the Ducks and he has been streaky at best this year. Lots of juice but I can't see this over not hitting.
This is my play of the day, I am looking into some other plays now.Comment
