Selanne + koivu are out for the ducks, which is a HUGE loss for them. Anaheim has dominated calgary in resent years, but that was with the "big four" defenders. So I don´t see the history between them as a big favor to the ducks. Calgary has been playing poorly lately, but most of those games have been at home. Calgary is a whole different team on the road. For me this is a VERY slight lean on calgary.. Not playing it though. Only montreal for me tonight! gl guys

I respect your input on this situation but I have to disagree with you. Koivu and Selanne aren't super important to the team, Getzlaf and Perry drive that team and Ryan is the #3 guy on the team. Sexton has been filling in great for the Ducks as well. Whitney and Niedermayer play 25+ a night and don't forget Wisniewski he logs a lot of ice time as well. Was a tight one but Ducks pulled it off.

what do you guys think about Buf/Pho under 5 tomorrow? both teams have solid D. i know Phoenix has been scoring quite a bit lately but i think they will cool off especially against good D. I think NJ game was a bit unusual considering devils defense, Marty just wasnt in form.

i would be way more comfortable if it was at 5.5 though. any thoughts?

Yeah if it was 5.5 I'd bet it for sure. I'm not a big fan of 5's since once it's 2-2 all you can do is push. I usually prefer to play the 1st period under 1.5 in these situations, but those have been struggling the last week or so. If's its Bryzgalov vs Miller the under 5 still looks pretty good to me.

DAL (-118) vs MIN $118 to win $100
Like the Stars tonight at this low line. The Stars are a solid team at home and the Wild are pretty awful on the road. MIN is 1-11 in the last 12 meetings in Dallas. I think this line may be low because Alex Auld is starting for the Stars, but the way Turco has been playing I think Auld will be a slight upgrade. The Stars are 4-1 in their last 5 at home while the Wild are 1-4 in their last 5 road games. For whatever reason the Wild just don't play great on the road, especially in Dallas.

Looking at a couple more plays right now in depth, likely will be 1 or 2 more plays.

First off I'd like to ask everyone to exercise caution on these 1st period unders. They have been getting burned lately and as Skaramouche said something like 17 of the last 19 NHL games have gone over in the 1st. With that being said I still think betting the under 1.5 in the first on 5 totals is a good play. The two teams are a combined 56-32 for the under on the year. The two teams are 33-17 playing on one day's rest for the under and the under is 10-3-2 in the last 15 meetings. Both teams are near the bottom in first period goals scored (BUF 23rd, PHO 29th) and PHO has allowed the least 1st period goals and BUF is a respectable 9th in that category. BUF is 11-8 for the under on the road this year, and PHO is 15-7-3 for the under at home this year. Bryzgalov will go for PHO and Miller looks like the one for BUF tonight so the goalies should be sharp early.

i put a small, last minute bet on st. louis. they are good on the road and at +105 i couldnt pass it up. i know Columbus stayed neck in neck with chicago the last time out but i think st. L should be able to beat them.

i will probably be playing Nashville in 3 periods and Colorado in 3 periods.

If this under doesn't hit I am seriously done with 1st period unders, I will only bet overs in the 1st. BUF scored 2 mins in on the 1st shot, not looking good. Good play on STL, I was considering them but CBJ scares me sometimes as they seem to randomly get inspired for certain games. NAS should pull it out and can't see COL losing to the Oilers. Good luck

LOL yeah unders are 10 times more stressful for sure. Overs are good you pretty much know if you are going to win or lose in the first 10 minutes. GL for you with the Wild. Either way I will be up today so I won't be too choked if the Wild win it.

Thanks and this will probably be it for the night. Weird line movement in EDM/COL so I'm not sure why everyone is taking EDM, COL seems like the easy win but who knows. There was similar movement on Toronto and they are up 2-0 in Nashville early in the 1st Too much juice in the SJ/CAL game and the way CAL is playing I don't have a lot of faith in taking a chance on them as big road dogs. If anything I would lean slightly to the over 5 in the CAL/SJ game but I doubt I will be making a play on it.
