Here are my picks for today along with some research to go with each one:

Totals:
Canucks @ Stars, Over 5.5 (+130) - Last 3 Stars games have gone Over, including one to the Canucks last Friday. Stars seem to have found their Offense. 4 of the last 5 Canucks games have gone Over. HTH the over is 2-2. Like the value at +130 here.

Bruins @ Lightning, Over 5.5 (-125) - 3 of the last 4 meetings hit the over, the one game that didn't hit the over hit 5. All high scoring games. 2 of the last 3 games for Bruins have gone Over. The last 6 TB games have gone Over. TB #1 in the league in scoring, I like the Over here.

Wild @ Oilers, Under 5 (even) - see post #1470 (last post on the previous page)


ML:
Canucks @ Stars, Stars ML (+130) - This is more of a value pick. Canucks are a -150 favorite on the road against a team they lost to on Friday at home. I like the Stars at home on 3 days rest.

Bruins @ Lightning, Lightning ML (even) - Bruins team has been a little under the weather and have lost 2 of their last 3, with their one win coming against Winnipeg. TB has won 4 straight at home against Boston and has scored 5 goals in each of those games. They seemed to have found their offense again recently. Like TB here.

Wild @ Oilers, Wild ML (even) - I know the Wild are terrible on the road but Oilers are not that great at home and the Wild own the Oilers the last 2 seasons, going 10-2. The Wild have been the better team as of late and they are well rested, like them to add another road win here against a weak Oilers team.

another 4-2 night and 8-4 over the last two days! Hit all the totals tonight and have hit 5/6 totals in this two day run. Dont wanna toot my own horn too much but glad to be having a positive two-day run, hope it carries into the weekend.

Hey Stars ,I can relate to the sleepless nights LOL.
As for the picks today I have to say I agree with everyone of them , which means it's probably the kiss of death LOL

Pitt should dominate Fla. and I feel the over is a good possibility here too.

Van /Nash should be a low scoring affair with those two in goal

And I feel the Hawks have to lose at some point , could be here against the Sharks

So with that being said I'm going with Pitt -1 , & may play over here as well.

Okay Picks of the Day (will be adding to this post as I go)...

Panthers @ Penguins, Penguins PL (+120) - Teams on the 2nd leg of a BTB this year and have lost 56% of their games. Teams on the 2nd leg of a BTB with both games being road games have lost 57% of their games. Teams coming off a Road W and traveling again for the 2nd leg of the BTB have lost 10 out of 15 games this year, thats 67%. Of those 10 games, 7 of the losses were by 2 goals or more (thats 70%). Those numbers are just a sneak peak of the excel spreadheet. I'll take the Penguins PL.

Panthers @ Penguins, Penguins ML (-240) - more of a hedge bet than anything. A lot of juice but will put some of what I was going to put on the PL here just in-case they don't cover it. Get a little money back. Was going to lose it anyway if Panthers win.

Panthers @ Penguins, Over 5.5 (even) - Of the 10 games mentioned above, 6 have gone Over 5.5 aka 60%. Also, 3 of the last 5 Panthers games have gone Over while 3 of the last 6 have gone over for the Penguins (including 3 of the last 4). I'm thinking this game will be a 4-2 or 5-2 type of game.

Sharks @ Blackhawks, Under 5.5 (-140) - Sharks have only had 4 games all year go Over, and one of those was against the Blackhawks. However, the Sharks were on the 2nd leg of a BTB going against the hottest team in the NHL. I like the Sharks to slow the game down here as they know thats the only way they have a shot at winning. Also, Blackhawks have only had one home game go Over this year, and it was against the Canucks in their last game.

Sharks @ Blackhawks, Blackhawks ML (-150) - I just think the Blackhawks are too much for the Sharks, especially at home. They have one two in a row against them, both by more than 1 goal. Sharks won their last game but they still aren't back to where they were at the beginning of the year. I'll take Blackhawks.

Canucks @ Predators, Over 5 (+110) - For the same reason as the Panthers Penguins Over in regards to BTB games (which Canucks are on the 2nd leg of tonight). Also, the last 3 Canucks games have gone Over as they struggle to play D while the Predators have allowed 12 goals in the last 3 games but have scored 11 goals themselves. With the total at 5 and the + payout, the value is definitely in the Over.

Canucks @ Predators, Predators ML (-115) - Again, same reason as the Chicago PL (though not as confident in Predators beating Canucks by 2 and not nearly as much juice on them so I'm taking the ML). Canucks have not won the 2nd leg of a BTB all season and I'll bet against them here. Canucks are 5-2 in their last 7 @ Nashville, but I don't think any of those were the back end of a BTB. Canucks have also been in a slump lately. I like Predators here.
