hey, LTA. yes Tulsa may be without Damaris Johnson but Tulane should be without a starting WR of its own (Ryan Grant) and its top three safeties are nursing injuries. Tulane already is ill-suited to stopping Tulsa's spread attack, and there is no worse position on the depth chart at which to lack depth than DB when facing the Golden Hurricane. Tulsa has covered its last six meeting with Tulane by an average of over 14 points, and there's no reason that trend should halt Saturday afternoon on the fast track in the Superdome. Tulsa's next two games are Okie State and Boise, if they don't look sharp today, they could go 0 for september.

as for Bama, yes, Bama would be my side play there, just like the under better. in my pools where i was required to pick that game, i'm heavy on Bama. listened to a good piece with Saban on Sirius on my ride back from goff rain-out, and it confirmed how i think that this game will play out. bad weather, great defense and an offense Saban doesn't trust to throw against a good PSU defense in its own right, the clock will roll from the start in this one. PSU's offensive line is going to be in big trouble against Bama. i really think that it will take turnovers, flukes or a combination of both for PSU to score more than 10. i think we're looking at 23-10/27-10/27-7 type game. i wouldn't bet PSU ATS with money i found on the ground.

I can't get the number you got on the total, so I'm going to concentrate on the side. I'm hoping to get it at 9.5...although I'm not sure that would be too encouraging if it drops to that number across the board.

Hey, have you looked at the Stanford/Duke over. I really like it, but there's not been much movement off of 59. Thoughts on that one? We got Luck, Stanford's big rushing attack against a weak Duke defense (although improving defense) and a Duke offense that runs the spread fast paced offense.

i like the over in Durham but don't love it. i have it 46-17, Stanford, to i think that it makes it over, but not by a ton. that said, i'm not as high on Duke's offense as many simply because they didn't look good against Richmond last weekend. however, i am a Cutcliffe fan, so i wouldn't be surprised to see a bounceback by the Duke offense. if Duke gets into the 20s, the over should be gold, because i feel good that Duke can't hold Stanford below 40. another helpful factor is that Duke won't quit, so they could get a TD or two in the fourth quarter after the game is decided. they definitely have the potential with scheme and coach.

I love the Buf/KC over and will be on it as well. Both my locals have 39.5, but I'm just waiting to pounce on that 39.

I also love the Titans. They are just a better overall team.

The only one really disagree with is the Ravens. I have three plays locked in right now with the SF/Sea under, NE/Mia over and the Steelers. I think the offense of Pit will surprise this year and be one of the best. I expect a close game with a late Pit win. That will be a fun game to watch! Good luck on your NFL Plays

thanks LTA. i will probably add the Bills/Chiefs over my 5th play. as for Ravens, i'll admit that i'm biased against Stillers, but Ravens have started well in W1 and September in general under Harbaugh, and i think that they will win. BOL to you though. should be a good game.

I always thought this was the case, but you figure Charles would break one or someone would break loose. Redscot had some good thoughts against the over in my NFL thread. I still like it, but I still can't get 39 and I'm not sure I would come off that number. Perhaps the Chiefs -5.5 is the better play. I'm a little more unsure than I was before and that usually means a pass.

Titans were the one play that i considered bigger than the others, still might add to it. Cassel is a concern for KC over. i lean Bills on the side in that one but not by a ton.

very frustrating ending to ND game, LTA. we deserved a push. Brian Kelly must've been beside himself having to control his emotions after another 4 turnovers and the late defensive lapses. must admit, i didn't enjoy watching a 114,000 Michigan fans happy, but i guess they've been saving up that celebration for the better part of a mediocre decade, so let them eat cake, i say.

Our Browns looked horrendous. I'm glad my neighbor didn't ask us to use the 2 xtra season seats they have. It was bad enough to watch on TV let alone at the game. I feel for ya brother! Luckily I had that game pegged as my big fix game of the week, but still didn't bet it. Waaay too much line movement for my liking!

I was on Det., S.D. Bal/Pit ov, Cleve/Cin ov, Chi, Wash, & S. Fran., and S. Diego. All in all, a nice way for us to start our year off. But with my luck, I'll give it all back next week. lol

nice week, pal! yeah, i may have reached the end of the road with Browns season tickets. i'll probably keep the PSLs (two of my buddies and i have 6 together) but start looking to sell most of the tix. bottomline, i don't bet Browns games much (way too unpredictable), so going to the games kind of monkeys with my gambling day. let's be honest, in this day and age, going to live sporting events isn't what it once way. so many options, why lock yourself into one subpar game for the entire day? HoG Champions League Soccer Plays (9.13.2011)

Another middling weekend. Horrid Friday truly wrecked by Rugby World Cup dabbling, but a very nice bounce-back Saturday. A couple quick plays in today's Champions League matches:

Chelsea-Barca ML PARLAY at -106 (Today, 2:45pm). I think Chelsea -1 at -106 is a great bet, too. But I have little doubt Barca will get the result in Nou Camp. So, I look it at as getting a Chelsea ML bet at, more or less, -106.

Dortmund OVER 2' at -103 (Today, 2:45pm). I go back and forth on this tie as to whether the Dortmund ML or the Over is the better play. I think you'll see two sides playing attacking football and producing quality chances. Hopefully the goals will follow.
