For sure. Fitch would definitely concentrate on laying on him and doing pretty much nothing.

He'll never fight Shields, that's one of his best friends. And isn't Koscheck changing divisions?

a lot of guys could beat diaz, but just not someone with such a reach disadvantage. Penn should not have fought with that game plan. That was just stupid to try to exchange punches with a guy who could be a pro boxer.

that's correct. the diaz shields fight is never happening, but i don't think koscheck will do well at mw and will probably drop back to ww

What should he have done then? BJ wasn't able to take him down, and he probably knew that would be tough. BJ's best shot was clearly to stand and trade with him, it was really his only option. Either that, or pull guard and try and win the fight from his back.

He took him down in the first round. He didn't try to do it again. He almost had diaz's back at one point.

at least bj gets a fight bonus for fotn. he should probably drop back down to lightweight cause fitch will destroy him.

i`ll say it....imo,that was better than griffin/bonnar......

i thought penn was through at the end of 2......i didn`t think he was coming out for 3......

but he did...and fought like a fricking spartan....just incredible......now i`m glad it didn`t go 5...penn might have died in there...

now,i wish that gsp would move to 185 so we could have some great championship fights at 170...

Man did that fight ever live up to expectations. Made it worth watching the whole event.

After that preformence, there is about a 100% chance of Diaz fighting the winner of Condit/GSP. If they still choose to do that fight. They may have Diaz fight Condit if GSP will be out for to long. Or, maybe they'll skip Condit and just give it to Diaz when GSP is healed.

They need to make new rules to prevent fighters from fighting like GSP does. Stand them up quicker or something.

He tried to take him down at least twice in the 2nd round, and tried again early in the 3rd. I think I'm missing a couple but i only want to state the one's that i know for a fact. They couldn't have been any more clear. I think there is a place that keeps those stats, maybe tomorrow you can look it up for yourself, or just rewatch the fight and you will see them. You can't miss it.
