ngl covington has grown on me.. his trolling is getting better and hes actually pretty hilarious if you dont take him seriously
and he definitely has the skills , i knew his wrestling and cardio were elite but his jab actually looked pretty solid yesterday... needs to tighten up his boxing defense a bit but he could definitely be a champ

I see people writing off Colby's hands.

Would Robbie bother with shoulder rolls and head movement if Colby's punches had zero power?

Necessity. Mother of invention. All that.

                Yeah he did.

The same with Ronda Rousey asking permission to use the "Rowdy" from Roddy Piper.

Yup, I was surprised how effective Colby's striking seemed throughout. Not an elite striker perhaps but certainly not to be taken lightly either.

                  Still can't stand him though.

Colby was getting peppered in the first round when Lawler decided to throw punches. Colby's striking gets better each fight but lets not get carried away with it. Colby spinning back fist is one of the best i ever saw and he uses it at the right moment in a fight and not six hundred times like some guys. I wish i was drinking this fight but i watched it sober and still don't know what the hell Robbie was doing. Robbie isn't the greatest striker in the world either. He gets knockout a lot because he takes a few chances and feels his power is a big difference. You think Robbie was fighting Lomachenko with all that bobbing and weaving. He didn't do any of that stuff against Roy, Condit, and others. Who knows maybe he had broken hands or maybe it was another one of his ridiculous game plans. The bobbing and weaving and those powder puff Holms like punches he was throwing was so bizarre for a guy like him that it makes me feel like he did someone a favor letting Colby win and i never say fighters fix fights. Just bizarre

Colby cardio is really sick. Non stop pressure and post-fight interview he talks like came from shower. 95% of current UFC roster would breath hard in 3 rounds with pace like that. Insane cardio and cant wait fight vs Usman whose cardio is also off the charts!

Colby's explosive takedowns were not there last two rounds. Cardio shmardio. Guy was gassed but then so was Lawler.
