Those knees will still be illegal in two days. The new rule is to stop standing fighters placeing hands on the canvas to avoid knees. If any of your knees are touching the canvas your a grounded opponent.

It is 2 hands that will have to be on the mat to be considered down right? Touching one down is what is changing.

With the new rule your opponent can knee you to the head if your standing with either one or two of your placed on the canvas. Basically takes out the weak move of placeing your hands to avoid damage. Rule should of never existed.

Kinda stupid really. I feel like they should allow it unless guy has his back/side flat on the mat. I hate it when guys play chicken by sticking their hands on the ground real fast as if that is supposed to be valid defense to getting your ass kicked. I like Herb Dean because he will tell a guy to stop playing the game and won't really call it unless he really has to.

The new definition is a slight tweak. Essentially the old definition still applies with an exception that for a hand to make a fighter grounded, both palms, both fists, or a palm and a fist must be touching the canvas.

I just hit the U1.5 in this one too... This fight probably ends in a hurry.. At +130 why not I say... A benny placed.

Pyle gets KO or he probably gets a sub win or something early on as Garcia begins to gas.. I don't think Pyle has a chance in this fight though.. He's old and over the hill... Garcia probably gets the KO early in the 1st if I had to guess.. Pyle's chin is shot..

I like this matchup for Garcia. He should land takedowns if he needs to, and his lunging punches are the type that have given Pyle trouble in the past. He keeps his chin high as he backs up. Bad habit.
