Dylan is just scrappy with a lot of desire. He was one of if not the last pick on TUF so they clearly didnt think much of him, but then that's happened before enough times. Your typical TUF competitor who has gotten by through will and determination despite just being average-good everywhere. He should be able to beat Papy, but the odds are too steep. you can tell Cerrone hates the whole hoop-la of it all. He's one of those who hates doing all the interviews and shiit, he just wants to "throwdown". Yeah line is way to steep for this risk. Even tho Papy got wiped out by Alves i thought he showed a decent showing until i saw his next fight. The guy has decent enuf hads which makes it way to risky at these odds.

The criticism they give here is pretty much what I'm saying. You sound like you're trying to do Steven Wright, which maybe that is your own natural delivery, but it seems like your jokes are a little more dickish in tone not surreal like Wright. Feel like you could drop them with a little more attitude and it would play better.

Also, the BJJ joke would play better if you just said Karate instead. A wider audience would understand it and it doesn't change the joke at all.

Yeah, I know Karate would work with a wider audience, but I use the joke to connect with MMA/BJJ fans. Same for when I say "spinning backfist" instead of "roundhouse kick."

Also, it took me 10 years to get the balls to finally go on stage, so I don't get too comfortable and attitudey on stage. I just grab the mic and tell the jokes the way I have them in my head. I don't try to sound like Steven Wright. They related me to him because I was doing clever one liners and wasn't talking loud. The second time I talked louder, and Redban pointed it out. A lot of the time when I get on stage, I'm nervous and need that first joke to land so I can start relaxing.

If I were going to try to sound like someone, I would deliver my jokes like Mitch Hedberg.
