Looking like another split. Blah. Chipper had a chance early to open the game up, but hit into a DP. Only a HR since for their lone run. Gonna take a late mercle!

        Unreal.

This bullpen is the worst, which is saying a lot.

        Nice job EP.

          8.13.12: Braves Team Total Over 4.5 [-120]
Braves @ home against Eric Stults and the Padres. Stults has made five spot starts for SD this season. In three of them, the opposition has finished with at least five runs. Three starts have come @ PETCO, so it's a bit tough to read Stults - but some of the Braves have had success against him in the past. ATL has scored at least five in six of their last ten overall. At home, that same # is true. SD had a tough time in Pittsburgh keeping runs off the board except for Marquis' start where they got the shutout. They gave up 19 runs combined in the other two games of the series. They have now given up at least five in seven of their last right on the road.

Pretty much an auto fade of Houston on the road. Chicago isn't a great offensive club, but they do score @ Wrigley. 11 of 15 at home have seen them tally at least four since the All Star break. Astros have given up four or more in 14 of their last 20 on the road.

Masterson for Cleveland. He has been a totally different pitcher on the road with a 6.68 ERA. Four of his last six road starts have seen the opposition score at least five runs and that's good for eight of eleven overall on the road. His last two road starts, he has given up 17 runs.

Thought they were gonna get something going that inning. Oh well. Needed a break from baseball anyway. Probably just gonna wait till football starts while and just do MLB playoffs. Up enough on the year with MLB to be happy with it. I'll be back in a few weeks man. Good luck until then!

I'm pretty disgusted by the performance to say the least. Gonna call it a night and remind myself why baseball is too inconsistent for me to crack. I like the TT plays because they aren't necessarily dependent on a team winning but when a marginal pitcher shuts down a strong offense I need to know when to give up.

Colorado gets a shot at Randy Wolf @ Coors Field. Wolf has now seen six of his nine road starts with the opposition scoring five or more by game's end. Colorado has scored at least five runs in six of their last ten at home, including nine in last night's series opener. By hook or crook [bullpen], Milwaukee has let Wolf down even when he pitches well on the road. Going for that theory again.

Big number here, but @ Coors Field with the Rockies staff this is worth the squeeze. Colorado has given up six runs or more in five of their last six and seven of ten overall. Milwaukee has managed to score six runs in each of the first two games of this series. They get Moscoso who has been mainly anchored in the bullpen. He made two spot starts in late April/early May @ Coors Field and got lit up for six earned runs in each start. He seems to have trouble pitching @ home with an 11.21 ERA. And of course if Milwaukee can pound on him early or run his pitch count up, they get the bullpen which shows a 4.54 ERA overall, 5.19 @ home and 6.60 in their last ten. Will wait for lineups, but this looks like the afternoon play for me.

No Braun, but sticking with it. He was just 1 for 10 in the 1st two games. His presence obviously means something, but I take the shot that the Brew Crew can still put up numbers.

Fading Mike Leake and his 6.03 ERA @ GAP. Eight of 12 home starts have seen the opposition score four or more. Mets offense is tragic at times, but I think they grind it out.

Tribe get a shot at Santana. He is still giving up runs at a big clip. The opposition has scored four or more in seven straight starts and eight of the last ten. At home, seven of ten have seen the same. Cleveland has banged home six runs in each of the first two games of this series, feasting on LA and its somewhat meaty bullpen.

He appears to have a heavy allergy to the Yankees. 0-5 in 7 appearances, six of those starts and a 9.26 ERA. That includes getting bashed for 7 runs early this year. He's been a mixed bag lately, very good against Detroit last time - but coming off successive bombs the prior two starts. In four starts against NY on the past two season, all four have seen the Yankees wind up with five or more runs. NY was held down the last two nights, three runs each, but they have scored five or more in six of their last nine still.
