hi miyakuza. indeed, there are reasons not to like TB here (Hellickson, home record versus away record, first home game after an away series) but I decided to play it. Maybe it will be a loser, like the under @ Indians yesterday, but if my other 4 added bets will be $$$ like last night, I will be more than happy to lose the TB play and make some nice profit.

Good luck. I don't like the line movement and sure Gurthie got lit up at home vs. Hellickson, but usually things don't repeat twice.

O's have been always competitive with Rays for the last couple years.

I'd feel better betting on the O's as an underdog and losing with all that value than laying down the juice.

I'm on the O's...Hellickson's been sneakily not very good; he and Guthrie are a wash.

For the most part, Guthrie has handled the Rays.

                        So far:

                        1. Tampa Bay Rays won 3-0 > easy win with the ML bet, Hellickson did one hell of a job, great kid with a strong arm Lost my team total bet.

                        2. St. Louis Cardinals lead 5-2 in the 7th inning. It's all i needed, 5 runs. Nice job by Pujols, Rasmus and Holliday.

Pending the Brewers and LA Dodgers.

                                Odds: 1.75
                                Bookie: Pinnacle

                                Added: Mets over 4 runs @ 1.9
                                Tigers over 4.5 runs @ 1.85

Indians managed to get a 9th win this season at their last at-bat. It was just inimaginable. I was thinking at all those Seattle backers who were just 1 out away from making some paper but Hafner homered it with 1 man on base. Indians improved to 24-13 after this win and started well on this series after two back-to-back lost series against LA Angels and Tampa Bay Rays. They have a great offensive season so far, hitting .264 as a team, 5th place in the MLB and scored a total of 181 runs, 6th place in the majors, with 4.89 runs/game. Travis Hafner is hitting .340 with five homers and 16 RBI, Shin-Soo Choo is hitting .222 with five homers and 19 RBI and Asdrubal Cabrera is hitting .288 with a team high six homers and 25 RBI. Also Matt Laporta has four homers and 17 RBI and Grady Sizemore has six homers and 11 RBI and Carlos Santana is hitting .218 with five homers and 18 RBI. They are in a groove and altough they struggled lately, those numbers are legit. Mariners have 6 L's in a row, with a 16-23 record. They played decent baseball a few weeks ago but now they are clueless. They have miserable offensive stats compared to the Tribe, hitting .228 as a team, 29th place in the MLB and scored a total of 138 runs, 25th place with 3.54 runs/game.

                                Pitchers battle:

                                Alex White >
The rookie from North Carolina has a pretty good season, with a 1-0 record in his two starts so far, winning against the LA Angels two weeks ago, in the Tribe's only victory in that series. He has a 3.75 ERA with a 1.58 WHIP. Has allowed 5 runs on 13 hits in 12 innings of work against the LA Angels and the Detroit Tigers, numbers that are pretty good in my book for a rookie. He said after the LA Angels W: "It's a great feeling and something I've worked for for a long time. I knew it was going to come as long as I pitched well. It's one of those things you'll remember forever. I think the biggest thing was just getting my first start out of the way. It wasn't my debut anymore. It was about winning. It was just a great feeling to be able to go out there and compete." He is a good and talented kid, and I think he will have a good first season.

Erik Bedard > 1-4 record so far, with 24 runs allowed in 37.2 innings this season. He has a 4.78 ERA and a 1.41 WHIP. He has struggled this season altough he had a pretty good performance in the last game against the White Sox, managed to have 9 strikeouts in 5 innings.

                                Some trends for this game:
                                • Mariners are 34-70 in their last 104 road games.
                                • Mariners are 16-35 in their last 51 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600.
                                • Mariners are 0-5 in their last 5 games following a loss
                                • Indians are 22-5 in their last 27 home games.
                                • Indians are 22-4 in their last 26 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.

Indians show some signs of coming back on earth lately, including the game from yesterday, but should I say it's something normal for the Tribe to win with a two run walk-off homer? This is the first time this miserable Mariners offense meet Alex White and I think they will need some time to adjust to his pitches. Altough a rookie starting and credited with minus money is not a game you would like to touch, White left a good impression so far and this is the perfect game to improve to 2-0 this season. Bedard already showed signs of struggling against the Indians early in the season, allowing 6 runs on 10 hits in just 4 innings. I will on the Indians today, and while this play seems like a sucker bet, I think that after yesterday game, the Indians are back on track.

                                Good luck fellas!

This has written "sweep" all over it. The Tigers are simply better in everything they do. Verlander and Penny allowed a combined of 1 single run in the first two games, and Penny, not Verlander, throwed the shutdown. The Tigers are playing extremly consistent, and when they hit the ball and have players on base/s, they score. As a team they are hitting a .257, 11th place in MLB, but their productivity is sky high, scoring a total of 187 runs, 3rd place in the league, after the Cardinals and the Reds. Kansas are no slouchers either, their hitting % is better than the Tigers, with .259 and the same total of runs scored as Detroit.

                                                        Pitchers battle:

                                                        Mark Scherzer >
This guy is having an unbelievable season. He is undefeated so far in this season, with a 6-0 record, and has a 3.20 ERA and a 1.4 WHIP. He allowed 18 runs in 50.2 innings of work, including a two shutdowns against Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees. The best part comes now: he allowed a season high 6 runs in the first game he threw this season, against the same Yankees. So after that, he allowed 12 runs in 45.2 innings. Impressive huh? He already won against KC this season, right after that Yankees game, 5-2 final score, when he allowed 1 on 7 hits.

Kyle Davies > He is the complete opposite of Scherzer. Has a 1-5 record, a 7.08 ERA and a 1.75 WHIP. Has thrown 39.5 innings and he allowed no less than 33 runs. Also impressive huh? Rest my case on this one.

A few trends for this one:
                                                        • Royals are 15-37 in their last 52 road games vs. a team with a winning record.
                                                        • Royals are 0-4 in Davies' last 4 starts following a team loss in their previous game.
                                                        • Royals are 0-5 in Davies' last 5 starts vs. a team with a winning record.
                                                        • Royals are 0-5 in Davies' last 5 starts.
                                                        • Tigers are 5-0 in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a winning record.
                                                        • Tigers are 4-0 in their last 4 vs. American League Central.
                                                        • Tigers are 5-0 in their last 5 vs. a team with a winning record.
                                                        • Tigers are 6-0 in their last 6 games following a win.
                                                        • Tigers are 7-0 in their last 7 games on grass.
                                                        • Tigers are 5-0 in their last 5 home games.
                                                        • Tigers are 5-0 in their last 5 when their opponent scores 2 runs or less in their previous game.
                                                        • Tigers are 11-1 in their last 12 after allowing 2 runs or less in their previous game.
                                                        • Tigers are 10-1 in their last 11 overall.
                                                        • Tigers are 5-1 in their last 6 games vs. a right-handed starter.

Detroit simply outcoached, outhit and outpitch this offensive Royals team. They are just simply better. And today Scherzer should eat Davies on a plate. I love here both the RL and the team total for the Tigers.

                                                        Best of luck fellas!
