Game two of this series between this two teams. Brewcrew won the first game yesterday, in Zack Greinke's home debut, 4-3, in a game where Padres were fortunate to keep it close. Today Shaun Marcum will be start on the mound for the home team, and he is even better than Greinke, with a record of 3-1 and an ERA of only 2.06. On top of this, he managed to strike out 42 hitters in 43.2 innings of work. On the other side, we've got the worst offensive team in baseball this season, that will have Clayton Richard as their starting pitcher. I mean, this is already 2-0 when you have a POS offense and you put Richard vs Marcum @ Milwaukee. Richard is 1-3 this year but with a respectable 3.55 ERA and a 1.34 WHIP. Milwaukee is 5-0 in their last five home games against a left handed starter, 17-7 in their last 24 home games against a team with a losing record, and 2-8 in their last 10 games overall. San Diego is 3-7 in their last 10 game two of a series, 6-14 in their last 20 games against a right handed starter, and 1-5 in Richard’s last six starts. So I am taking the home team again here.

Game 1 of this series. The Braves are in 3rd place in NL East, with a 20-16 record, and a 7-3 in their last 10 games and have outscored their opponents by 43 runs this season. The Nationals are on 4th place in the same NL East, with a 16-18 record, and were outsocred by 19 innings this season. The starting pitcher for the home team will be Tim Hudson, who has a solid year so far, with a 4-2 record, a 2.86 ERA and a 0.95 WHIP. On the other side, Jason Marquis will be on the mound for the Nationals, with a 3.66 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP. He also has a solid year, with a 3-1 record including a 3-0 win against the champions San Francisco Giants. Hudson has allowed 40 hits in his 7 starts this year in 49,4 innings at work, while Marquis has allowed 45 hits in 39.1 innings this season. This is the second series between this two teams, they both played against each other at the season opener in Washington, and then Braves won 2 games out of 3, while outscoring the Nationals 16-8. Hudson pitched in game 3, 11-2 for Braves, when he allowed just 3 hits and one run. I expect the same performance today.

thank you for the feedback fellas. new here so i appreciate it a lot. yes, braves might be a public bet today but i will never stay away from a public bet just because it is public. i like braves here, they have the edge in pretty much every position, they are rolling right now. i don't think that this series will be a sweep by any means, but today it is just too good not to take atlanta. the under is a very solid bet too in my opinion. check the other pick (brewcrew vs padres) also. let's make some money today.

I was not trying to diss you - just that standard is 1 - so if 6/10 is average . . .hmmmmmm . . . . I know what you are doing on a personal basis as I have bet more or less on certain games but for forum porpoises (tee hee) you sort of need a 1 unit thing but you can also post YOUR +/-.

Not sure about the runline - seems suckerish to me! I've never appreciated the run line unless there are special issues and low scoring games are not a time for a run line. There is a reason sports book offer them - they make a lot of money! LOL
