Dex, when are umpires released for game#1 of a series? I noticed you posted just before game time, is that when they are typically announced?

usually 1 hour before first pitch....i waited b/c i was hoping to get 9

i will try and let everyone know what the play is even if im not booking yet.....sorry, i was sleeping (sick with the flu) and actually almost missed getting the play in

just 1 inning left for the yankees to cover the run line. i hate run lines but really felt value on the yankees +120 in this spot.

Anybody have input on the AZ/Cubs game? I personally like d-backs here, cashner having his MLB debut game and being a "work in progress", while enright already seen action. GM even said he has seen more passion in the d-backs since last year. d-backs lost yesterday, which could inspire them to win today. My early lean is d-backs ML. Thoughts?

Fading Cashner and the lack of bullpen today for the Cubbies. Pena is not in the starting lineup with a sore thumb leaving Colvin to make his first pro start at first + Marmol and Woody are unavailable. 10mph wind blowing out to right

Those are my opinions. I didn't like what I saw in Cashner's last ST start. Left a lot of balls up. Koyie Hill is playing in place of Geo Soto. Hill is probably a bottom 5 hitter in the entire MLB. Looks like Ari is using the same lineup as yesterday.

Yup, graduated last May. I'm not 100% sure on the over to be honest. If you haven't made the bet yet, I'd say the ARI TT over 4 would be the better bet. But a new 1b with a shoddy infield + some bad pitchers on a windy day in Wrigley SHOULD lead to a high score. (BTW, i'm in the "NL Central 2011" thread if anybody wants to take this discussion elsewhere).

love the collaboration here guys....this thread is not just for me to post my plays. anyone can post their plays, thoughts etc....

i really dont have much to share for another few weeks. im basically making plays right now off umpire stats from last year, and maybe a small play that i see a good historical trend or just a situational play.
