I'm on the Rays this morning, I think they get their 1st W. Haren gave up 8 runs in 6 innings in the minors and I think that is going to carry over for a game or two untiI he finds his Iocation. I just hope the Rays can take advantage.

Can I have your thoughts on Arizona? I think they can get to Dempster, I'm just uncertain what the pen wiII do on coming in after Armando..

Overnight lines can be a great way to bet your games. If you bet JUST the overnight lines, you'd probably do better than others who bet closing lines. Just some food for thought...

Absolutely correct, mebs. The true measure of a sharp play is getting a better price than the closing number. And betting the overnites is the best way to get it.

There's a lot of talk on these forums re sharp plays and square plays and much of it is total bullshit. Not every fav is a square play. Nor is every over. And not every team the public bets is the square side. If you consistently beat the closing number - whether it be a point spread or a ML - you are sharp. That's what really matters.

I agree with you guys - getting a sharp line early is a huge factor which sees some of the more successful handicappers hit great results. I suppose my issue is really more about having the choice to bet early or late depending on what happens in the hours before a game. At the moment I don't. Good luck today all!
