" Over in the Texas-Tampa Bay matchup.

This has been an over series with the over cashing in seven of the past eight meetings between the two clubs.

That's not a huge surprise given the quality offenses. The Rangers currently are No. 2 in batting average in the majors and fourth in runs scored. Tampa Bay has scored the third most runs and also has the most stolen bases.

The pitching matchup is southpaw Derek Holland versus James Shields.

Holland last pitched in the big leagues on May 30. He has been on the DL and then pitched for Oklahoma City in Triple A. The Rays usually eat up lefties. They are a major-league best 26-13 against them.

Shields hasn't been sharp for the Rays. He's allowed 12 earned runs and seven walks in his last two starts spanning nine innings. He has a 4.63 lifetime ERA when facing Texas.

Michael Young is expected to play for the Rangers after missing Tuesday's game due to a stiff neck."

Probably the dumbest bet I've made all year.

I went bigger than I planned, too, because I missed the TB RL bet by about 10 seconds. Funneled that money into the StL pick as well. Stupid.
