damn i knew that 5 was a bad number, but i'll take a push. and if i could only leave baseball alone. 15 runs in the braves game by two teams who have been hitting under the mendoza line lately. damn. but i am feeling good about ncaaf and ready for sunday. kinda scary cause the first week is often nutty.

I'm liking the over play, Paco, but I'm even more intrigued to take UTEP +20. The public is pounding UH, but I'm going to see if this moves to +21 around game time since it's such a late start.

Houston is riding a 16-game home win streak, so they're a great SU/ML pick for anyone who's willing to lay the chalk. But Kevin Sumlin's teams always seem to play down to their C-USA opposition and fall behind early in games like these. Also, UTEP beat Houston by 17 in El Paso last season and choked away a 19-point third-quarter lead and lost 42-37 at Houston in 2008.

I made a nice little stack fading Houston against UTEP, Southern Miss, Tulsa, and UCF last season. UTEP plus the points is looking pretty good to me, especially if the line reaches 21 or 21.5 by game time.

Just my 2 cents FWIW.

i can't believe you got screwed by the botched extra point paco. i wonder if last night is any sign that the kicking this year will be subpar. i was on the opposite side last nite, saints ml and over, guess i'm happy i pretty much broke even considering we were all convinced that vikes would win if the under hits. anyway i'm gonna pretty much tail you blindly with tonite's over i really don't know a lot about that matchup but considering the history and your confidence that enough for me to make a small play. i'm also leaning towards astros, cards, and yanks tonite... good luck!!!

Yup, i couldn't believe how easy the Under in the CMU game. i still however took MSU. I bought it up to 3 when the line was @ 2 because i had a feeling that it could end in a 3 pt loss. I'm glad just to get a push on that game.

What are you thinking about Marshall/WVU? I know theres a lot more heads on WVU but i'm going with Marshall

A. Your avatar pics are the best day in and day out by far.

B. I just sent out a text to my buddies at the game. Of course all of my WVU boys think its going to be a blowout but have said they haven't seen Marshall rockin like this in a while. To me the line stinks like sh*t, WVU should be favored by 21 here.

Side Note:Marshall enjoys the best home field advantage in major college football. Marshall has an impressive 118-19 overall record at Joan C. Edwards stadium for a winning percentage of .866. No other Division 1 FBS program can match that. The University of Alabama ranks second with an .825 winning percentage at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

With all that said I am still waiting but Marshall should be up to 14 by game time and I would take them then, its Friday night and anything is possible.

Does anyone have any insights into the SMU/UAB game? Line opened a SMU -13.5, now down to SMU -11.5. Game is being played at SMU which looked pretty strong against TT. UAB on the other hand was giving 14 to Florida Atlantic and lost by 1. No SMU injuries that I can see.

whats up guys. yeah investor. if i had to take a side it would be marshall. but i think the under is the play. wvu is one dimensional and marhall will obviously pound the box, but wv talented backs will get enough yardage to win the game. marshall won't score much, but in a low scoring game maybe enough to keep it ats close. and i'm with paco on the over hou. only thing utep has is offense and only chance to compete is to try and score with them. not touching sides on that one either. could go either way.
in cfl, calgary is -11 against edm team they beat 56-15 and 52-5 in 2 home games earlier this month. don't know if venue means you can keep the game that much closer. but calg dominance is usually at home so anything could happen. i like the under 54 and if i had to take a side would be calgary -11. worth a parlay shot with the way they have dominated.
and in mlb, hammerin the cubbies and houston. stros have been excellent this month and still great value. z owns the brews and bush sucks against cubs so line doesn't make sense. but i still love it....
