Back when the Vikings were the Purple People Eaters...they were
always competing against the Lions for the division.....The 2 games the
teams played each year were critical.....and Bud Grant always beat
Joe Schimdt....( much to my delight ).....The Lions had good teams
then..with Bill Muncy...Greg Landy..Steve Owens..Mel Farr...Lem Barney
but the Vikings had there number every year...

So The vikings made the playoffs frequently but never had
what it took to win the Super Bowl.......0-4 in the big game...

Lions never had the opportunity to FAIL like that Vikings so sorrowfully
