we discussed the less than five games in a day scenario a week or two ago and came to the same conclusion that the system probably isn't designed for days with very few games


I haven't even looked at the games for tomorrow, but will probably pass unless the top one looks pretty good

You will make two bets. One on the money line and one on the run line. The calculator will tell you how much to place on each one.



you need to enter 3 numbers on the spreadsheet


cell B3 you enter the favorite ML odds

cell B5 you enter the favorite RL odds

cell C12 you enter the amount you want to win



rows 13 and 14 tell you what you need to bet on the ML and RL to get your win amount. The RISK on the RL is ALWAYS equal to the WIN amount on the ML.


Double check your bets before you submit them to make sure they match up correctly. It will be different for plus and minus odds on the RL bet. You will enter the to win amount for negative odds and the risk amount for plus odds.


change the numbers around for a few minutes in the calculator and it will all be clear

The Yanks opened at -158, making them the pick. I'm thinking about starting a chase on them for the series, although I need to do a little research beforehand. I might end up going with them as the FAV bet if I feel up to it. With the way Burnett's pitched recently I think I'm going to pass up the FAV on this one. Like I said, though, I think I'll be running a chase on the Yanks' series.

I never felt good about that play yesterday. It seemed the price was too steep from the begining. I was tempted to take the dog or the +1.5 in that one.

If there was a real clear cut favorite that looked good it may be a different story. I am basically taking this approach with days that have 5 games or less. I will be playing those days by ear and as always welcome any input on them I can get.


With just 3 games on the slate it is not worth forcing it. If it was the yankees -200 vs Baltimore it would be a play.

Yup, it'd make today's bet pretty expensive. I took the Rangers last night so I got them at -182 at the Greek. The line's staying surprisingly steady, since I would think a lot of people would be fading the Pirates.

I am not on this chase series, but I would not feel too great about having the nats as my c bet. However, they are playing an equally bad team at home with Strasburg on the mound so they definitely have the edge.


TX looks fairly solid for tonight. I am planning on being on them for a single play tonight @ -1 or -1.5

his final unit count may have actually been higher then because I had to finish his record and I just added a unit for each of the last however many wins it was that he didn't have in his record

then again he wasn't even posting units risked and to win at the end so it's all good. It was only a handful of games and a few units difference either way and I would rather be on the low side so no one can question it.
