A little choppy last couple days, but still gaining ground back towards zero...then beyond.

Big pick on Seattle was almost a Perfect Game by Mike Leake, he was perfect thru 8 innings, but a ground-ball base hit to leadoff the 9th got thru the right side. Still he finished the complete game shutout.

One week ago, last Friday July 12 was the opposite, a night which the Angels were the home team and threw a combined no-hitter (two pitchers) against this Seattle team, and Mike Leake started the game but gave up 7 runs (4 earned) and did not even get out of the first inning.

Got a little greedy with the last pick on Seattle, missed badly on that. Also the TEX@HOU Under if I woulda taken the standard line at Under 9 and paid the juice it would have won. Score was 4-2 then Astros had a solo homer in the bottom 8th, followed by Texas with a solo shot in the top 9th for a 5-3 final score, which Pushed my Under 8.

I would be playing the Braves and the Over 11 in the Sunday Night Game, but now passing on it.

These games both were tough beats. Another way to say it, they had chances to win and couldn't close the deal.

Was way off on Pittsburgh last night, although it started out good 2-0 lead end 1st inning. Then Cardinals scored 9 in the top 2nd, initiated on an error by Kevin Newman the shortstop who rarely makes an error. Oh well.

Hit good on a 2-0 shutout win by the Marlins in Chicago, fueled by a tremendous pitchers duel Zac Gallen vs Reynaldo Lopez which was 0-0 until the top 8th when the 9th place hitter Cesar Puello blasted a 2-run shot which accounted for all the scoring.

Working on tonight's games now, first glance the schedule didn't look intriguing...

This game saw a 2-run homer by JD Martinez in the top of the first,
Then a Grand Slam by Gleyber Torres in the bottom of the first.
Red Sox pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez had terrible control every inning,
but somehow he went 6-2/3 innings (113 pitches) and kept getting out of trouble.
Game turned into a pitcher's duel. Yankees won 4-2 final score.
