#607i just want to officially close of this thread with a little summary and brief look into the future. also i hope people found this thread to be useful as well as hopefully made some money off of it or atleast helped point you in a direction towards a winner, plus we had a lot of good insight provided by other people such as The Lock, Karmi, and Bread who helped me even look back into a game and reevaluate some of my plays, i appreciate their insight. though i imagined making plays on all 162 plays, i soon figured that wasnt feasible and wanted to avoid forcing plays and thus we ended up betting only 85 games but we had a pretty solid season 49-35-1 (57.6%) +21.499 and we hit both of our futures plays. i hope to do the same next year and expand the bankroll a little because i also did this last year and both seasons were profitable, but this one was quite solid.
END OF SEASON REVIEW
All in all this team had a lot of highs and lows this year, starting like a house on fire 11-1 then dropping 25 of the next 30 or so, before battling back and gettin back into contention for that NL East title. looking back yes, there were SEVERAL games that we really let slip away either after having big leads or simply not being to shut the door with 2 outs, but in general i must say i was pretty pleased with what the 2009 Florida Marlins showed me espcially with what the did with so many unproven arms such as vanden hurk and west who BOTH were very surprising and CERTAINLY will get a good look at being #3 next year, while miller and volstad were greatyly disappointing though both had a few solid starts while annibal sanchez was banged up and wasn't that effective, but he again did show some brillance. ricky pitched GREAT after getting sent down to fix his mechanics and coulda won 20 if he woulda started off better while JJ, WOW WWHAT A YEAR and he shoulda been in the talk for the CY if he coulda got a few more wins rather then the pen leaving him high and dry....
hanley was AMAZING and HAD ONE HELL OF A SEASON along with chris coghlan who SHOULD WIN THE NL ROY, but we'll see....... uggla even got a lil hot after being AWFUL while cantu was productive along with 1st year full time catcher john baker, he was solid to my surprise. cody ross also made a TREMENDOUS statement for why he's one of the most underrated/undervalues players in the MLB, plus the guy is CLUTCH
in the off season, i can see us trading off hermedia who's never lived up to the hype the baseball world as well as i gave him, was supposed to be AMAZING but frequent injuries and an iffy attitude at times has all but sealed his departure from south florida. i can also see dan uggla leaving too after a solid season, but he just has no ability to manufacture runs with simple hits PLUS he got into hanley's face and called him out for pretty much pussin out with an injury but still you just dont do that to easily THE BEST PLAYER IN THE GAME.
i hope we can pick up another couple of arms for the bullpen and further solidfy the 7th inning on, plus im still not sold on lidstrom closing and though i hyped up leo, he was VERY unpredictable at times and gave up too many long balls. i would also like to get another solid bat, HOPEFULLY we can sign nick johnson but well see, the front office is a bunch of cheap SOBS and with the new stadium locked in and shit START SPENDING SOME MONEY and make it so 2012 is a LEGIT season where we can take the NL EAST crown.
I already cant wait for the 2010 FLORIDA MARLINS to begin making their run at their first NL EAST Crown and ANOTHER WORLD SERIES TITLE
GOOD LUCK EVERYONEComment -
