Won't be playing any series bets; will be doing a game at a time. Not sure what to expect from Cueto, but Pitt should definitely put up a fight with their offense. Throw in the fact that Dusty is managing, and they surely have the edge.

edit: im an idiot. Obviously this pit/cin game isn't a series. I wouldn't back cincy with cueto going, but Liriano -130 isn't necessarily my favorite at first glance.

against you tonight as im not liking what ive seen out of price the last few months. ive watched a lot of his starts and it wouldnt shock me if hes injured. his velocity his down 2mph this year and hes just not missing bats when he needs to. throw in the fact that texas is rolling and im going to take the angle that they are the hot team to roll late into the postseason. at least until ronnie has to manage in the NL. ha

In 8 starts vs the Rangers, Price has an ERA of 5.98, which is the 2nd worst of his entire career vs any team. David Prices ERA at the ballpark in Arlington? 10.86.

Tampa opened at -129. I got them at -104 and -102. They're going to close probably around -115/-120. I am going to technically "beat the closing number" by a pretty wide margin because of the late bounce in the Rays' favor, but is that really accomplishing anything considering how far the ML has dropped in the first place against them?

As much as we talk about it in the regular season, I think this is actually what we see as public pounding early and late money coming in on TB. As much as we say it in the reg season, i would bet that this game is already one of the top 5 most bet games of the season.

Whether that means TB is the right side based on BTCL, who the hell knows. I look it as I got the best number available throughout the day. If this were the stock market, you would be lauded for doing such a thing consistently. As long as you're not solely basing your plays on line movement, no reason to worry.

I hear ya. From that side, i think you just shake your head and say you were unlucky. After 20 cents moveemnt though, the line was surely going to bounce at least a few cents from -104/-104 back towards the opener.

complete trust liraino does his thing 2marro..both have had great success vs the opposing hitters, no 1 on pit has hit cueto especially well and liriano has handled jay/bruce/phillips well this yr..i think it a no brainer with these starters and pens..cincy worse vs lefties pit vs righties, liriano nails at home..i dunno 4-2 seems like the high end to me,, i guess i could get beat with 4-3 but think percentages favor the under here..

dont trust bravos..to many free swinging strike out artist, that shit typically doesnt play well in the postseason..not as if lad coming in playing great ball but far as series price ill pass and take it gm by gm. gun to head id say lad wins but im not laying that juice..
